Natural Fisheries manager Brad Parsons holds a 27-pound bighead carp caught last year in the St. Croix River. Invasive carp species have been found traveling into southwest Minnesota from tributaries in Iowa, thwarting efforts to block the fish along major waterways like the Mississippi and St. Croix rivers.
