Sandhill Cranes and Pheasant

I took my grandson on Sunday to the hunting land.  Along with some deer, we saw these Sandhill Cranes and a pheasant.

SWEET!!!!!!!!! its always great seeing wildlife!!! especially with young kids!

Did you here them making that prehistoric noise?  Well thats what I think of when they fly over.

yea no kidding. they sure do look prehistoric as well as sound that way when there flying up close to ya!!

Yes, they did the croaking sound.  You can see the female doing the wounded bird routine.  They must have had a young one around because they didn't leave the area.  Really cool.
