st.paul winter carnival ice fishing tournament on forest lake

who knows the low down on this?
I have heard two stories.
one...they cancled it again and are going to have it in grand rapids next year.
two...they canceled it on forest lake this year and will have it in grand rapids this year.

anybody know the real deal? ???

I didn;t think it was the St. Paul winter carnival tourney??

I do know this. Whatever the name of that giant tournament that is held on Forest Lake has been cancelled. It was cancelled last summer. I talked to the organizers about it and they had already decided to cancel and they scrapped this winter. It will be next year (not this winter 2007) but the next year. They cancelled this year so they would have time to lay the ground work for next year....2008.

It will be in the Grand Rapids area. Which will be great for that area and the local businesses.
