Since I have chosen to abstain from joining the Ice fishing competition this year I still feel that I still have obligations' to the competition and it's competitors. Therefore, I have decided to focus my support to the various teams on the smackdown thread. At this time I'll be monitoring from the side lines and offering my support on the smackdown thread.


By the way I'd like to start out by recommending that team #1 be referred to as The Three Twinkies or (The Twinkies). I'm sure the name will be adopted quite readily by their fellow competitors throughout the competition as it seems to have a bit of charm attached to it.

Good Luck to all and I'm sure that the best team will win in the end. Especially if it has Wild Willy The kid also known as (Twinkie Willy The Kid) on that team.

Starting to look like we might get in 4 or 5 days of ice fishing before the challenge even begins.

Moving north to Boy River (on Boy Lake) for afew months so I'm hoping the new comer to the IFC gets a jump on you yokles in the central area of the state.  Hoping by end of the week I will be fishing the bay in front of the cabin.  :fishing2: I still have obligations to the DHC though so we will see what happens.  Good luck to all and I hope this cold weather gets you guys out soon.

Any of you Sissies like Wild ever think about a Lake Trout Challenge as a side contest in the ice challenge??
Kind of like the Rock Bass division in the summer contest, except the Trout is a far manlier fish!

You best beware when you call our MNO members sissies.

 Even though Willy is a sissies name he probably don't even fish Lake Trout. However, he's just the kind of guy that may kick your butt on that bet. Now if your looking for some real sissies head on over to the Bears/Vikes $1.00 bet thread. Any name you don't see signed up on there is amongst the real sissies here on MNO!

Like in the ROCKBASS challenge I would think you would have to be signed up for the regular IFC...but were to much of a Sissie...

Soon enough I will be pre fishing. I will need to find out where I am going to need to fish to win the IFC. .  Who knows there just might be a rookie of the year as well.  Lol, but really good luck to you all.  If the temp stays where it says it's going to be I should be out by Thursday night- Friday morning.  The only thing I worry about is this snow interfering with the creation of ice.
