Seeing the first signs of 4wheelers out of the lakes here in the east metro.  There is about 8-10 inches on more of the lakes I have been too.

Vehicle traffic is picking up on Osakis. The big wheel houses are coming out along with the pickups and suv's.

Guys are driving all over the Willmar area lakes.  I'd say 12-14 inches however I like about 18 before I start to drive out there.

Auburn just north of Victoria only had 8.5   2 oldtimers drove out in their bronco to their spear house.  The ice was cracking a lot and my tip ups were bouncing up and down in their holes.  Now I know why so many vehicles end up at the bottom of lakes.

North Metro, Monticello area lakes are 10-12. And yes there were two full size trucks, one pulling a loaded snowmobile trailer. I yelled to the guy there is only 10" out here and he just smiled and kept driving.

Most lakes in the Bemidji area are pretty good, especially to the West and North (less snow cover).  Still spotty for trucks and large houses but most lakes are in good shape.  Red Lake is good, wouldn't hesitate to drive a 1 ton out there but not sure if I'd want to cross a pressure ridge.  Was out last weekend on Red and there was a good 16+ inches of solid ice.  Itasca is looking good as well.   About 14 inches there and it's very good ice.  Still some lakes in the area with only 10 - 12 inches so check before you venture out.  Should be ok with ATVs and light vehicles no matter where you go.

There's a good 12-14 on the NW side of Mille Lacs (near Garrison). The resorts should be letting people drive out on their roads now. There's a pretty good crack about a mile out, so I don't think you'll be able to drive out to the mud, but you can get to Garrison Reef at least.
