Here are some questions for you. Please take a couple minutes and share your thoughts.

I'd like to hear from all of our active members as to why are you an MNO member?

What brought you here? What do you like best about MNO?

What makes you want to spend time on the MNO site?

What suggestion(s) do you have to improve the user experience at MNO?

Thank you in advance for taking the time to respond!

I am a member because I have met and continue to meet others from the site which I would consider to be friends.

Deer hunting contest brought me here. And the other friendly members keeps me here.  Most member will be courteous, even if they disagree with your point of view.

The people on the site keep me coming back. Always interested to see what other people have to say and what they have learned over the years.

I would like to see a trail cam section.

Well, I been here a while now so I guess I can pipe up.

I was brought to this website by "Go Big Red". He thought I would enjoy it and would appreciate the good info and comradarie here. And I have.

What I like best is the discussions we have, the reports on different hunting and fishing and just general atmosphere here is very respectful and inviting. This website is a wealth of knowledge to beginner's, intermediate and seasoned sportsmen.

I will continue to visit this website when time alots for the reasons mentioned above.

I came to site honestly because i started a new job and im in the office 75% of the time.
Now im on all the time my home page on my smart phone is actually the MNO forum.
I really like to see whats going on other parts of the state and love being able to get advice or second opinions my outdoor activities.  I love the contests here and not even so much to win but i like to see what other people are killing or catching through out the state.

I started visiting this site back in 2007 when the DNR abolished the forum on their web site.  People were constantly ripped to shreads on that site.  I  have stayed here because the people posting here have the same interests I do.  That is promoting hunting, fishing and outdoor activies.  I have met a number of the members. Some because they knew sombody I did, some because I bought something from them, some at gatherings like Deer Classic, Game Fair, Shooting range, or fishing get togethers.  I really enjoy the pictures posted in the various threads.  I would like to see more members actively posting.

I have made some great friends here, did I mention I have made great friends here and will continue to make more friends. I'm constantly amazed at how generous people are on this site. I actually have learned a lot and occasionally even share the few things I know. I find the outdoor interests of others, that I either don't have the time or access to pursue, to be of great value to me. There is a wide variety of topics on the site - picking mushrooms, trapping, weird notions that Republicans have etc. exposes me to different ideas and things that I don't have access to. Oh yeah there are some great story tellers here - and not a day goes by that I don't get a good laugh from the site.

Originally one of the guys in my fishing league introduced me to a different site and I got to know Tim and Pat there a little. Eventually I followed them over here. This is a very friendly site - I like that.

I too have met some good friends and enjoy their company.  I came here because I was looking for an outdoors site and now call MNO home.  I enjoyed being a part of the fishing challenge and helping out with what I can.  I enjoy getting out fishing and meeting some new people.  I believe we have passionate people who love the outdoors around here.  Can't wait to meet more of you.

I'm not the most active member but I am a member on here because of the knowledge base from everyone, And it never stops. So that's what keeps me on atleast acouple times a week.  To read updates, help out with what I can, and simply because everyone on here has been helpful at one point or another.  I'd have to say one of the biggest reasons I keep coming back is to see what kind of friendly banter is going on.  Normally between DDS and the general.

Bottom line for me is I enjoy the banter and contest. I also am always trolling for business so I'm on quite a few fishing sites. I'm also banned from one site and it still bugs me. Oh well life goes on. This is the best way for me to advertise with out spending money I do not have.

I became an MNO member after lookin at the site for awhile and liked what I have seen and I got tired of some of the other sites being so nit-picky. I still currently visit 5 different sites but this one is one of 2 I frequent every time I go online. enjoy the contests and the banter that comes with it and no one gets uptight.

and I really have no ideas on how to improve.................lookin good. I have met a few from here but looking forward to meeting more. on my bucket list is to get a fawk t-shirt or two!!!!!!

  • My new fishing boat
I’m a new member of MNO and like glenn57 I too frequent other sites, and yes they’re too governing. I found MNO through another site which (affiliated?) was the mnoutdoorjournal.com. I stumbled onto that site while trying to chase down a shrunken bass boat owner that I seen pulling his boat through our small town of North Branch. Anyways, I think the real reason I signed up on here, and will make my new fav was mainly because it was my home state and local people are on here. It’s nice to discuss what’s happening HERE at home versus other states. The other sites have conversations during our winters about stripers, bores and water snakes  :green archer:, not too many of those around here but fun to read nonetheless. I spend time here now getting caught up conversations that I haven’t read yet and making new friends. I can see already this MNO site will be consuming some of my time for awhile. Now the big question, how to “improve my experience” ah let’s see… FREE minnows maybe?
Here is to a long relationship MNO  :toast:
