On Wednesday afternoon, strong south winds pushed the ice away from the south shore of the lake.  An area of up to several hundred yards of open water was created.  The large area of ice continues to move with the wind.  Until the ice locks in place and freezes solid, it will not be safe.  We plan to check the ice again on Monday.  We will begin fishing once there is a solid sheet of ice across the entire lake and it is safe for travel.  Again, we hope to know more on Monday and will not know anything more until then.  We will update this report at that time.  Thank you.

Border View Lodge bar and restaurant will remain closed until we are able to take our houses out.
