Just agreeing with DDS' post that that you're making all types of excuses for not catching any fish to aid your team
I'm sure it's just your advanced age that prevents you from doing so, and you're now hanging on to Borgie's coat tails to try and save face!!

  While we were not able to give Glenn's fish an official score he does qualify for a drawing.  One for the worst pics entered in the contest.

   The Invaders dodged a bullet with Glenn's picture.  The unofficial length of the fish was 29.75" which would have caught the Invaders and locked them into a life and death struggle for last place.  1 week to go, keep  .

   We were out giving it a go too.  Temps in the 30s with high winds.  Boat control was a nightmare.   I wish we had one more weekend in the contest.

All season Borgie's Death Squad has been prepaired and ready to meet up with The Ultimate Storm. Well, the ultimate storm wound up to be just another one false alarm after another. A rumble here and a rumble there. As you can see Borgie's Death Squad had everything in place and no one in the challenge even came close to them once they took over first place.

  While the contest is not over until Thursday at midnight I think the Ultimate Storm is out.  Unless my partners have some fish up their sleeve. I salute the winning teams.     I wish we could have been more of a challenge.  It takes 3 trophies to win.  We came up empty.

I've been contemplating that one more shot at going out to try for that one illusive pike. I was going to head out this morning but, as usual I woke up at 1:00 am instead of the scheduled 3:45 am and couldn't get back to sleep.
Chasing pike on a 32 degree morning not counting the wind chill factor is not on my favorites list.

I'll be busy on Wednesday and although the temp forecast for Thursday is much better The Man is calling for thunderstorms. I'll keep an eye out for any revisions on the T- storm prediction. The odds are not good considering that my fishing hole is a 3 hr. round trip and I don't want to make that drive for nuttin.

I've got the 16 ft BWCA boat all winterized and waiting for the My guide boat is still waiting in the garage for that one more chance to get out. If I winterize that one before November It will break out in a rash and you can hear it moaning at night.

  Ok boys and girls this is the last call for fish pics.  Post them up if you have some.  Anyone with scored fish in the contest will be eligible for the prize drawings.  This contest ends tomorrow at midnight.  It's been another hard fought battle for the MNO Open Water Fishing Challenge Championship.  Unless something amazing happens it looks like we will have our first  Champion.  Good luck!!!

I want to file a complaint against DDS and The Ultimate Storm boys for tampering with today's weather. I had big plans for BIG PIKE today! I'm going to talk to the head person in charge of this years challenge. I'm sure he'll be glad to look into this situation.

  I just realized that DDS is in charge. Go figure! It's just like going to Obama to complain to him.

  The "Ultimate Storm" accomplished it's mission but was outfoxed by a lady and her teammates.  While we focused all our energy on past champions an inconspicuous Death Squad snuck up and stole the show.  We were able to keep 3 past champions in the cellar for the entire summer.  TheGreatOutdoors had a good game plan of striking early.  Unfortunately for him this contest is like the movie Groundhog Day.  Different year but the inevitable Borgie Beatdown dashes his chances of glory once again.

Unless someone upsets the apple cart, congrats to Borgie's Raiders for the victory in the 2013 Challenge!
It's great that she won and hope it brings some joy into her life, being as how the poor woman must put up with Lee on a daily basis!!!
However, be advised that there will be no more Mr. Nice Guy by Great Outdoors and his team mates next year, as far as giving the other teams any kind of a chance!!!

    As always it take 3 trophies to win.   The Death Squad took two out of three of the top fish honors.  Congratulations to Lee Borgersen for once again taking the top walleye spot.

   I had a blast although not a good year on the trophy hunt.  Just so you know it won't be so easy next year.
