Team challenge poll- CLOSED!!

Boar you are definitely not what we are talking about.  Anyone would like to have you on their team and you sound just like everyone else with your schedule.

   I am going to call it a draw.  The poll was for feedback only.  I am going to make an executive decision and board up the poll.  The poll will be locked early.

       1) Any member of a team may post all three top fish for the team.  

       2) The winter challenge rules are different.  There you will only be able to post 2 fish for your team next winter.  You have all summer to deal with it.

       3) For anyone on the sidelines thinking about entering I strongly suggest getting in.  There are a few boys here that are in a serious need for an   kicking.

       4) We did accomplish a lot.  We got Bobby out of hibernation for one.  He may have gone back in for a little while.  

       5)  We did eliminate my April fools joke of suggesting each member can only post one fish. (Thanks for letting that cat out of the bag Bobby) .

      6)  We did learn that I am too lazy to go back and find out if the simple change would have made any difference whatsoever in the contest results in the past.  I started to.  I admit that I bailed on it.  The year Wildlife and Lee and I think big slick would be a good place to start should anyone have the time one their hands.

      7)  We did learn that this thread is not the right place to mention that prize donations are accepted even if you are not going to be in the contest.  (even though we did get one  Thanks Glenn57- )

      9)  We did learn that this year is going to be hard to win.  It always is.

     10)  I would rather the   be spent on the choice of the  staple item that must be included in your pic or video than here.  

     11) Good luck and have fun.  Have I ever mentioned before that cell phone   are not the best.

    I should also clarify that the MNO rules committee is composed of any two MNO members fishing together or having a    We have to label it that way for tax purposes.

  Cody, Doug and I are going to the NB sportsman's club with Thunderpout next week.  It's Tues or Thursday.  I will have to check.  Are you up for it?  I think it starts at 7:30pm.

One question i do have dds is in your first post you put this is an important question twice and one was even in bold.  I guess its not a question just an observation.

  It was an important question.  It was not important enough to take the risk of having new or old members not sign up because of expectations. 

   My expectations--Are you going to fish this summer?  1 day, 1 week, or everyday.(does not matter to me).

    If so let's pick a name for our team.     If those two simple requirements can be met than we are good to go.

                There are side challenges every year.  I think the more contestants the better in the team challenge.  I have no expectations from my partners.  If we do poorly I will consider it my fault.  No sleep will be lost though.   
   
   It's just not that big of a deal.

   I also want to mention that almost all of the  allurement, bait, blackmail, buyoff, compensation, contract, corrupt money, corrupting gift, enticement, envelope*, feedbag, fringe benefit, gift, goody, graft, gratuity, gravy, grease, hush money, ice*, incentive, inducement, influence peddling, kickback, lagniappe, lure, payola, perk*, perquisite, present, price, protection*, remuneration, reward, sop, sweetener, sweetening, take.

My only comment is, Daktari I think you pulled the plug a bit too early, I thought we had a pretty nice fire going.

   It was clear that there was no real majority for change.  I personally like the idea and doubt that it would effect the outcome at all. I believe it adds a little strategy and would make it a real team challenge.   I guess we will have to wait until fall to see.  Maybe the ones that were so dramatic in their displeasure of changing it should watch to see if it would make a difference in their team score.   

     Now we can move on to  about the staple item.

Isn't it illegal to hold fish in live well and then release it. Just busting balls here DDS.   Actually if I want to release a trophy fish that's not making it, I'll put it into the live well.  When she starts getting stronger I'll successfully release her. Make sure you look all around before you do the quick release.

I too went back and read this whole thread. I also took the time to go back to all the old fishing challenges. And as for some of the new ones here to the site I suggest reading some of it. In the smack down thread. That makes good reading, good times, good friends, new friends, in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and I'm sure other states. Makes me think why would we want to change anything?  

Then I look at this thread it look like the political board. New rule.   I did take this a little more personal then I should have and reacted with my post that I would not sign up if this rule was passed. And I think some of you would if you was sit in my position would also take a little personal because of the last two years. Because in the history of fishing challenge there's only two years that one person has posted all three fish to lead their team to the top of the challenge so makes you think what this rule was intended for. I  work hard at my skill to get there, both in fishing and taking the photo,  

I do respect all of your opinions and even asked for your opinions in why you voted how you did I also asked ones that did not care because I wanted to hear your opinion. I do see your point you want more team members participating as team in fish challenge.

There's that word again challenge this is a fishing challenge not  a team challenge the fishing challenge you go out you do your best you come back you post your photos the judge judges them you get the score or not for your team. And who's to say that we could not do both that would be easy all you got to do is keep a separate lead board then you'll see if it has a different outcome hell  I can do that.

This is supposed to be a challenge supposed to be fun challenge has been, I can care less about prizes. If you get a chance to meet somebody new, learned some new, better your own skill in both fishing and photographing and have some fun along the way we all winners,,,  if you take the challenge out we all lose the smack talk, As you cannot smack talk some that can’t do nothing about it,  for some that is the challenge, That can be fun in self,

   Hey, no worries Wildlife.  You are right the wise man had a point.  At no time should anyone take anything personal here.  I do think Kenny popped 3 the year before you started your run.  No worries.  The game is on.  It is time to   and  .  Every year the end result is the same.  It takes 3 trophy fish to win.  The   s will be the deciding factor.  It looks by the folks that have signed up to be a    .
