I know you are going to hate this Glenn but I just scored on a Falcon BuCoo micro fishing rod at Walmart. I have been on the look out for this rod all winter long to match up with my Quantum PT that I bought last summer. 129.00 rod on clearance for 79 bucks, to good to pass up. My local bait shop would only give me 10% off and I have been working her all winter long.  I even got it in the house and in the rod rack with out the wife noticing!  :happy1: one more Vendetta rod to buy and I will be done for this summer...  :whistling:
on a more positive note..........congrats on the new rod!!!!!!!!! whats your wifes cell number??????????? :whistling: :whistling: :whistling: :coffee: ;D ;D

1.5 inches of snow in the last hour or so...Why now are the weather guys so accurate? Snow Flakes are as big as quarters. Barney went out and became a white lab in about a minute, his back was covered. Duncan on the other hand is to fast to let snow land on him !  :rotflmao:

A little more snow on the way and then some rain and then the melt should be here by the weekend. It is about time!  Tackle boxes are sorted and new lures have been added to fill the empty spaces. Have one more rod to buy and I am good to go.  :happy1:

Was just on another board and read about Vendetta rods being on clearance at a southern MN Walmart for 29 bucks! Still hope I might find my local Walmart making some more markdowns.... Raining here, just looking over a packet of information I got in the mail from the Vermilion Lake Chamber, fishing plans to be made...

Just a little more then two weeks till opener and I just don't feel the urgency.  :coffee:  I have snow about three feet deep blocking the Puddle Humper from moving out from under the boat house.  :taz:  Lakes still have ice on them measured in feet not inches.  :snow5:  Saw my first boat on a trailer driving through town this morning, it was following a truck pulling a trailer with a snow machine on it....  :doah:

Bobby, :happy1:

You snow that everyone snows by now how tired you are about the snow. Snowbody snows for sure when all the snow will be gone. One thing we all snow for sure is that the forcast ain't snowing any signs of snow in the near future. Snow, all I can say is it makes snow sense to worry about the snow snowmore.

I just wanted you to snow how I felt. :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

What tax is that? the excise tax has been around since 2007  I am just talking about lure prices in general. I was going through some of the fishing catalogs and I notice a lot of the baits are all now priced the same no matter what size they are. Hula Popper for example are the same for the little ones as the big ones...

Im talking about the new excise tax that does include Fishing lures...3% that is to fund Obama Care... its suppose to be hidden, but is coming out.cabela's lists it..just another tax on sportsmen and women...

Here is another quote from a different web page...

On 1 Jan 2013 the “Affordable Care Act” takes effect – remember it was enacted 23 March 2010 – and those famous words from Nasty Pelosi – “you have to pass it to find out what is in it”. If you think we aren't getting hosed.....you haven't seen anything yet….. I'm sure hunting and fishing enthusiasts will love this!

“The 2.3% Medical Excise Tax that began on January 1st is supposed to be ‘hidden’ from the consumer, but it’s been brought to the public’s attention by hunting and fishing store Cabela’s who have refused to hide it and are showing it as a separate line item tax on their receipts,”.

Manufacturers Taxes
The following discussion of manufacturers taxes applies to the tax on:

Sport fishing equipment:
- Fishing rods and fishing poles =10%
- Electric outboard motors = 3%
- Fishing tackle boxes = 3%
Other:
- Bows, quivers, broadheads, and points = 11%
- Arrow shafts = 11%
- Taxable tires = $.0945 per each 10 pounds of the maximum rated load capacity over 3,500 pounds.
- Gas guzzler automobiles = 10%

May 1st so it must be time for some more  :snow5: We are under a winter weather watch up here in my neck of the woods  :banghead:   70 yesterday back down to mid 30's today, and here I thought I would finally get the last of the snow melted from around the Puddle Humper!

Last years major floods. Now this year it's massive snows. It may be time to paint some lambs blood above your door if you get my drift.
