Went to a place over by Fort Snelling i had never been to before.  All the elms were too young.  Only found a couple of dead elms and they were bare.  Place is like a petting zoo down there though.  Probably saw thirty deer and thirty turkeys down there.  Pretty funny when none of the deer consider you a predator, turkeys were pretty comfrotable too.  Although i got close to this tom that was following a hen and had his feahters up and he turned and made a little move at me twice.  Took a picture and left him alone after that.  Saw a coyote too, that dude must be living it up down there!

I picked about 10 lbs, mostly big yellows in SE MN today.

I also saw a raccoon doing the same thing...he was looking at tree after tree and biting the tops off the shrooms as he worked his way down toward me...1st picture I took, the flash sent him running.

We dug around 40 lbs of ramps/leeks as well.  Love the flavor frying one up in a pan of shrooms!

I looked a little yesterday and didn't find any.  Really wet and cold ground.  Had to watch for high spots to walk on.
