    • Fishing & Hunting South Dakota's Lake Oahe and Lake Sharpe
I guided the May brothers Rocky, Rick, and Kim from Elkhorn NE and North Platte NE to two days of both great weather and great fishing. We fished on Oahe both days staying out of cow creek one day and the little bend Cheyenne area one day. They were able to take a full 48 walleye fish limit home with them along with eating a big batch and also had some bass as bonus fish .We caught these fish using both minnows and night crawlers in around 10 fow. We probably released another 30 fish a day so the bite is very good..We had all their over 20 inch fish with the biggest a 25 inch walleye and we had a good number of 18 to 19 inch fish in their catch. The bite is on all over the lake with the Cow Creek area the Cheyenne river area and Bush's landing all good choices for starting ramps. Lake Sharpe is still doing well from Pierre down to the Big Bend area with night crawlers starting to be the best bait, Pulling plugs along with night crawler/spinner rigs are also doing well.
