  If you go up 6 let me know what you see on Rosy.  I would guess 3 houses by the lumber yard about 100 yards from shore and 1 or 2 houses out from town by the bridge.  If they are not out there the ice is crap and this is going to be a long winter.

there was only one house out on rosy..........about 1/2 mile down.....south of the access.

well we got fish.............5 lbs biggest. had a good times with friends but the elements made it very disappointing and dang frustraiting. from 6 inches of water on the ice to 29 below on sunday morning.

the house had the slow moving vehicle signs on it for reflectors if that helps ya pin down who it might be. the hole lake did look froze over.....but no tracks on it from what I could see.

anyone stay up past 10 pm and watch channel 4 news last nite? frank and chris where doing there going to the lake bit. they showed them in a spear shack.

anyways its been a while but looks like the last 2 weekends in feb will be headed north to do some spearing as the season closes. feb 23.

well spearing season is fast coming to an end for another season. due to the weather and lake conditions I did not get out much. up north, beyond the lake of no fish, one didn't know if fishhouses where in order or a boat.

this past weekend my bride of 24 years and I went up for a spearing trip. yep!!!!!!! here idea of a good valentines weekend was to spend it in a spearhouse and with me!!!

after opening 2 spear holes with way more ice then I anticipated fishing was a bit slow then we are used to. we seen enough fish just a lot of small ones. not many sunfish either. sue, my bride said she seen ole jungle lips Friday afternoon but can say its still swimming. we have a 33 inch 15 lb nord on the wall and she says it was bigger. funny thing is she was sitting in the same spot as when we speared the one that's currently on the wall.


will be heading up again for the last hurrah this weekend with my mom and her friend before putting the spear stuff away for another season. hope the fish cooperate a bit more.

nice report glenn, I was able to take my daughter out once this year an she speard her fisrt, we wnded up with four for the smoker. an awsome day, wish i had more time for it.

   Boar you must not be a Union guy.       I was able to drive to work today in a reasonable amount of time even in a blizzard because of Presidents day.  Nobody was trying to milk the clock today.

  Glenn, the Lake of No Fish has lived up to it's name this year.  I had hoped to get you and the General out there this winter when the bite was on.  It never was.  1 week left.

are you on the south end of the lake??? seen a few houses out there kind of on the south west side.

someone plowed a road out to about 4 fishhouses just south of the hwy 6 bridge in town.

  Yes, I am on the south end.  That road is where I got stuck two weekends ago.  I have to cross over it to get to the east side.  I have been going out right in town now.  Most of the way is plowed until I get to the last 1/4 mile.   The wheel base on the house is wider than they plow the road so I may have off road it all the way in.  It worked fine last year but we didn't have as much snow.

well with great sadness the spearing season has come to a close again. glad I got out the last 2 weekends but the fish just didn't cooperate real well. between 3 of us we ended up with 7 pike and nuttin to write home about.
 I didn't see this but moms friend said he had a fair amount of fish kinda cruise thru on the bottom with no interest checking out the decoy. some attacked the deke most didn't.

have to say due to the conditions of the past winter it was a bit disappointing spearing season. oh well, countdown now begins for the 2014-2015 season!!!!!!!!!!!
