how do you pass the time

I cant even stand it anymore, I really need bow opener to be here. with this cool weather, and even seen a few trees that are starting to change colors. was out horseback riding the other day and seen 2 big bucks out in the beans, really got my blood pumping! I practice shooting a lot, but that gets old. I have my cams out, but not really get many pictures yet. thinking of adding some more stands in various places that ive had my eye on. also trying to secure 280 acres of new hunting ground that hasn't really been hunted in the last 10 years but that's bow only.. how does everyone else deal with this final delay before hunting season!

That is a good question.  Ive been shooting alot also which does get old.  I still have 1 stand that i really need to get moved ( hoping to do it this week end ).  Lots of talking about the buck me and my hunting buddies got on camera but never got a chance to stick.  Crossing my fingers that the couple deer i had my sights on made it through slug season and winter.

The cold weather this past weekend really got my blood pumping too!  I like to watch hunting videos to pass the time.  Haven't done any target practice yet, but soon!

well I have some on my hitlist from last year, that I seen. im hoping they made it through the winter. there was no word around here that they got shot. the one I know would be quite the stir. 160+ inch deer would be my guess. if I get permission the cams are gonna go out on the new tract of land super fast!


wi2mnhunter. ive busted out the drury outdoors videos and watched 3 of them so far in the past week.

glenn57- my boats been down now for almost a month so I haven't had a chance to fish a lot latly but greatoutdoors and myself sit ontop of the leaderboard :-p

I've been too busy to think about bow hunting.  Lots of things to do before the season.  Lots of lakes to fish and gardens to tend.  I don't get into hunting until the middle of August when we start clearing and mowing the trails.  Once that's done, then we work on putting up any new stands and repairing the existing ones.  Being bow season is 3 1/2 months long, there is no reason to put pressure on a start time. 
Last year my last bow hunt was on December 30th.

getting out fishing has been a real challenge this year for some reason. chased sunfish but that is about it.
