Pulling lead core and crank baits in the main basin is the method of choice this week as walleye start to move in for fall.Try 25-27 or 30-35 feet of water off Zippel Bay, Stoney, and Long Point over shallow rock. Jigging with a minnow has been picking up near Lighthouse Gap and Pine Island. 27-30 feet with a minnow and 3/8 oz gold jig is preferred. Try 6-12 feet for the evening bite!

Sturgeon are still biting in the Rainy River! Keep season ends September 30th so don't miss out! Use a 5 or 6 circle hook with a glob of worms on the edges of deep holes.

Up on the NW Angle, jigging with pink, gold, or orange with a minnow is the way to go. Fish on 23-27 feet near Skeet, Oak, and Crowduck Islands. Perch and crappie biting in 35-45 feet using a jig and minnow. Smallmouth bass have been active in 15-25 feet near rock points. Muskie bite still good using shallow crank baits and Danny baits near Oak Island.
