I've never really been happy with any of the lighting I've had in my portable. I just bought one of those Eskimo insulated fatfish. Thinking about how to light it. Any thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks

I just use a rechargeable Colman lantern, and set it on the fish bucket in the middle. It goes for days on a signal charge.

A lot of guys use led rope lights with a vex battery.  I still use the old fashioned white gas, double mantle coleman lantern.  It kicks out a little heat too.  I keep it on the ground right by the holes.  I am glad my portable is fire retardant because I got out once and the door flap hit the top of the lantern.  No real damage was done because I caught it right away.   :doah:

just a colemen propane latern puts off plenty of light and plenty of heat but I have thought about switching to a LED latern that's rechargable It seems like the LED would be better less likley to break and you could just keep it in the shack year round I would have to think you could buy a charger for it that would work off the cigarette lighter in the car or truck you could charge it on your drive to the lake

The one I got you can charge by your truck, boat or outlet, it works pretty good. We even take it to stokes bay in August for a week without charging it at all.

I think it was more than 4.99 Fawkinator, I haven't seen the one your talking about yet.

I still like the traditional propane Coleman lantern. Provides warmth and super good lighting.

I rigged mine up with the LED string lights for this winter. Going to see how that works out.
