i seen 5 does (possibly young fawn bucks) and another group of 3 does....does that mean there grouping up for winter already and the ruts over? but on the other hand i think i saw a 10 point chasing around a doe with another young buck....

There is a second rut that occurs 30 days after the first.  Rut is triggered by does in heat, if not bred the first go round they are the ones in heat again.  Grouping up depends on the winter and looking for food.  Have seen them grouped up in ND first week of Nov after a good early blizzard.

Yesterday I saw a small buck with a doe and fawn.  They split up when I jumped them.  At least the buck went a different way.  I assume he thought I would pursue the easier pry - doe and fawn then him.   :rotflmao:
