Not gonna up-grade my team any, but, they'll eat good....  :fishing2:

The boy got his wisdom teeth out today, so I went solo..........

Nope, no slush & 10 inches of ice, but
about 10 inches of fluffy snow on top had this ol boy a huff'in and a puff'in....
Walked about 400 yards pull'in the house fully loaded.

 Two of the three amigos met up with Boar for some walleye fishing and got a few.

Nice catch there HD. Lot's of cleaning but well worth it in the end. Hope you got a helper for the cleaning part. The only time I clean fish is on vacation. I fillet um, Borgie washes um & wraps um up. Then she washes out the cooler for tomorrow. I do all the cooking. We make a good team!

Four of us went out out of Melaque, Mexico. Hoping for dorado, but instead we caught these 2 sailfish. Pretty cool. I had never caught a bill fish.

Now you do not get to catch sailfish usually in a lifetime. Great experience I bet. What happens to the flesh? and isn't there some kind of medicinal properties in the bill?

First of all, dammit I just realized I forgot to get the ice scoop in the picture.

Here's the "scoop" on sailfish. Not considered great table fare, however the captain beat the heck out of both fish so no catch and release. We talked to a neighbor about how to prepare them and he said the only thing to do is smoke them. He smoked them for us and they were fantastic! They jump out of the water fantastically. It was like the billfish olympics. Spectacular.

Not sure about any medicinal properties.

Me and junior went out last Sunday and caught a few, but very few and far between. I drilled around 35 holes and he drilled around 20....

So, only a few keepers and a few beers...we still had a good time.

on LOW on saturday I had to shovel down a foot into the snow to get thru with an extension on the auger. thickest ive seen it on LOW

Went to Winnipeg on Friday....ice was right at 5'.   It was -22F Saturday am  still Winter up there. It wont melt before their season ends March 31.  No super giants but 4 over 8lbs.
