what do you have more success catching walleyes on sucker minnows or shiners?
Hunting is not life and death. It is more important than that.

I personally prefer using a nice fat Lumbricus terrestris myself. Some work involved keeping them alive till the ice forms, but well worth it! Happy  :fishing2:

Also.... using Sucker minnows for Walleye? Now that's different! How much luck have you had with them? Do you have access to really small suckers? You have peaked my interest here kind sir! Please tell us more!

ive caught  a 27 inch wlleye using an airplane jig tipped with a 7 ich sucker jigging for pike. using suckers for walleye works great, but i try an find smaller offering than the standard pike offereing. 4-6 inch if ya can find them that small 6 for me is pushing it, use to have a bait station round here that would sell suckers int eh 4 inch range but stoped cause they werent to popular with peoiple when most of the chubs would be pushing 3 inches. got no propb using 6 inch sucker for eyes if thats whats available

I prefer big shiners.  I can't find any this winter so far.  Almost 6 bucks for 18 shiners and half of them are the size of a fat head.

certainly on LOW live shiners but i also like to have the chubs to, little more fat to eat. seen it go both ways, either  shiner will out produce or chubs will. jiggin with frozen smokes em too.
