Berkley has come out with a new Fireline called "Crystal".  It's supposed to be clear and virtually invisible under water.  This sounds like a great line, a clear braid.  I'm excited to give it a try, it will probably be my new trolling and jigging line.

That is great news for me, I've been using Fireline for probably 5 years now on my Walleye rods. That stuff lasts forever and only gets better with age. I think a couple of my rods are going on there 3rd year with the same line.

I will definitely be switching them all over to the new Fireline this spring.

I was hoping they would come out with something like this, the only negative thing about Fireline is when you get snagged good! >:(

I'm sure the stuff is great but I'd have to get a second job just to respool my reels. With a second job I'd have no time to fish. Don't make sense to me.

These prices are actually not too bad if you consider how long it lasts, no need to respool multiple times each season.

;D HEY SPIN! that is my thought also! otherwise the berkley or stren blue would be about the same after 2 or 3 respools, and the smaller diameter to reduce the drag on a ultra lite bobber. question? is it in the stores somewhere yet??  ???

My thoughts exactly about price-it isn't too much more than the PowerPro I'm currently using.  And while I like the PowerPro, I especially like this new Fireline being clear!  For me a 1100 yd Bulk spool would probably be the best way to go.  Especially if you can use it in the winter as well! (Anyone know for sure?)

How is it for digging and wearing your guides on the rods?  :o I have heard it wears the guides, where the Stealth is teflon coated and not suppose to do that. ;)

yep I agree there is just no way I will spend that much on line.

Just like I will not spend 30 bucks on ammo for deer in MN. either.

I refuse to give in to the over priced sporting goods

I was at Sportsmans Warehouse today and they had the line or $14.99 for 100 yards.  I don't think this is a bad price considering the benifits from it; strong line with thin diameter, invisible underwater, and it lasts much longer than mono.  I think this is the best product introduced into fishing in a long time! ;D

In my 35+ years of fishing, I still think bang for the buck and overall perfomance you can't beat trilene XL Low vis.    I have tried them all but I keep going back to my old standby   Trilene XL!
That's gonna leave a mark!

I agree that Triline XL is a great line but if you've never fished with Fireline or another braid, you've missed out.  Itis so sensitive and you feel everything, plus the diameter is much thinner than mono.
