My youngest daughter decided that she wanted to try duck hunting after I had talked about how much fun I had as a kid.  I knew of a nice beaver pond that was on a small creek that emptied into a huge WMA.  It also had a very steep hill on one side and a beautiful bottle neck which would force any low flying ducks within range.  We got a very late start sat morning and didn't get up north until noon.  We did a quick scouting trip to make sure we would have a spot to sit sunday morning.  When we got to the ridge over looking the pond we noticed a few ducks on the water.  We put the sneek on and got next to the water without getting busted.  A flock of 15 ducks circled right over us and autumn missed her first shot but connected on the follow up shot.  When she shot the beaver pond exploded with hundreds of ducks.  It was awesome to see so many birds.  It was pandemonium helping her load the gun and coach her on when to shoot.  The birds would circle and land again and again.  After about an hour they stopped coming back.  She ended up dropping 2 ducks.  We had a great first hunt.  Memories that will last forever.

These are two picture looking down from the ridge at the beaver pond.

This is my youngest daughter with her 1st duck.  We didn't expect to get any shooting so we didn't wear all our camo

A couple of pictures of the duck.
