Just wondering where everyone is going to go for the statewide opener.

MN statewide opener: 05/13/06 (walleye, sauger and northern pike)

5/27/06: Bass (5/13 for some northern areas, check MN DNR website for more details)
6/03/06: Muskie

I am thinking of hitting Mille Lacs, but not sure yet.  Joe, maybe we'll see you out there.

Good Luck!

I will be hitting both Openers this year for sure.  I will be hitting the St Croix on April 29 and then prob make the Mille Lacs run on May 13.  Hopefully it will be nice weather and not too much wind.

We have a cabin by Upper Red Lake.  The opening of walleye fishing again...a historical day in Waskish!  I can't wait!  It's gonna be crazy.  I will be one of the crazy folks fishing for walleye up there.  It will be a real treat tasting Red Lake Walleye again!  ;D

The only reason I am fishing opener is because I will have a roof over my head!? Odds are opener sucks.? That's just the way it is.? This is Minnesota don'tcha know!

I am going to be on URL too and that for me is kinda exciting.? I know we will get our eyes, then we can look for slabs and troll for hulkies.? It will be fun I am sure.

And the people watching ought to be a riot :D.

I will be hitting the st croix opener. On the regular opener I will be hanging out with my 14 mnth old son, cuz my wife decided to go to Las Vegas  that weekend with a bunch of woman as payback for all the hunting trips I took.

I am also hitting URL the first week of June.

St. Croix opener around home in Taylors Falls, then either Ottertail or Winnie.  'Course, if I get any guiding gigs, that pretty much screws up any of the aforementioned "plans." :(

I like to be away from the big crowds. I'll probably hit one of the local lake that gets little pressure. Maybe a couple of them if things work right.

Mille Lacs, got a cabin between MyrMar and garrison.

The weather can be good, bad or anything in between,as long as I am there and not behind a desk.

Good Luck all
