Question for you die hard ice fishers

Now I have not ice fished for many years and not up on the regs but, dont the permanent ice houses have to be off the lake by the end of Feb? If so, is it really worth the trouble of putting it out on a year like this when there is only a few weeks left of season?
Just curious as to how die hard you guys are. I personally dont think it is worth it. On the other hand I go through the effort of hauling my camper and all my gear up north for just a weekend of hunting.

Dates for having your house off the ice are

 Feb28th south of hwy 10-200 and 2 making a line across the state

 North of that line it is March 15th

 except some boarder waters are different dates

South of the line it's Feb 28th

 Check the reg's if in doubt

Well the permanents these days are pretty portable. With crank up wheels and hitches, I know guys who move thier house a few times a day just trying to find fish. So like you with the camper. Pull the house with, fish for a weekend pull back home. It's really not a big deal, infact I don't really know why they still call them permanents. They are starting to and should be called a hardhouse.

A hard house is about right Griz. Up north they just leave'em hooked to the back of the truck. Haul'em where ever they go. All the cranks and wheels make'm easier than the portables today.
