Ok not that it really matters here but why do the rules differ  from ice to open water , only one team member can have only two species as top entreis for ice and one team member can have 3 species for top entry in open water. just curious.

 The intent i believe was to get more participation out of people who seem to be just along for the ride.  But it seems the same people who post fish continue to do so and those that don't just sign up any way.

The General is exactly right. It was to make it more of a team competition and less of an individual competition.

Unfortunately many of the people that sign up still just sit back on the sidelines and wait to see if their team wins. They don't even post on the smackdown thread. The ice fishing challenge changed rule was implemented to see if the noncombatant team members could be drawn out of hiding.

  We tweak the contests each season.  The goal always remains the same.  Fun, fellowship and meeting new friends.  Almost every rule change has a motive of increased participation.  Some are to try to make sure the fish gets back in the water alive.   This summer I got to meet my UNION THUG BROTHERS at Leech.  While we took last place we at least got to sprinkle all those nasty creepy crawly worm thingies in everybody's tents.  I was torn about limiting this years ice challenge to fish caught in the USA.  Playing the game is the fun part. 

   MNO open water challenge--5$
   Only being able to score two of three fish in the ice challenge 
    Matching wits with the un armed in the smackdown-  PRICELESS!!

I have to wait till spring to join in any fish competition! Still restricted till Dec 22.Then I'll find out more!
 Boar watch out for Glenn!! next spring I will take him fishin!!,He's always been busy when I have asked before.This spring I'll make sure he's eaten,Has his helmet on and bring his sippy cup with some warm milk and maybe some cocoa in it. I will have a camera along.That is if hes nice and dosent throw some kinda fit and demand that he wants to use my rod cause it catches fish!!

things are going very well Lee, Im making new freinds everyday and even got some numbers of some ladys kinda seem overly freindly, not to sure about that. There is one guy Ive been told to watchout for, he gose around stealing the ham chunks out everyones  split pea soup and replaces them with rasins, plus at night, when the moon lights shines thru the window just right, theres a weired sound coming from his area in the corner, like hes petting a dog or something, really weired. people shy away from him, he claims to be some great fisherman. Gose by the name leeroy I think, Leeroy borgman, Bergorsman or something like that, I guesse hes on a some kind of hunting and fishin blog site when he breaks into the office headquaters after petting his dog, and post all kinds stories of fishing and pretends to such a great BS'er on a thread of cutdowns where people give each other a bunch of crap back and fourth. I guesse he's not very good at it, cause his wife ive been told keeps hitting him with a bat of some sort, for lieing about his fishing abilities and say really dumb stuff when he should be listening and might learn somethings from a few that really know whats going on like one named...............come to think of it there isnt anyone on that bloging site that knows whats going on from what Ive heard, site keeps crashing, last time it was for two days almost. pretty sure itwas him trying to hack into the site after lights out and a long dog petting session. Ive also seen him steal a cardboard box and pretend he's selling minnows up in Ely, MN. He took a crayon and wrote, Ive got worms, come see my minnow. $5.00 poor guys i think just needs a freind and someone to listen, but man i couldnt stand anyone who sits there all day and boasts how great a fisherman he's. O well, the good lord has a plan for us all, but he hasnt figured that out for Leeroy Bergeman, Bersmerman, Boargesmon, something like that.

and lastly if I wouldn't have to spend so much time trying to keep management in line I would have more time to  :fishing2: I don't have this gravy job like the general!!!!!!!!
