I have several outdoors shows that I love and have the DVR set to, but the following would have to be my favorites......

Fishing Edge (AKA Angling edge)-If you're an outdoorsman, how can you not like watching the Lindners on a fishing program.  I enjoy this show because it's a Minnesota based show and they target the species that I fish for, and it's very informative.

Fishing the Wildside-  This show is also a Minnesota based and out of the Walker area.  Again, they target Walleye, northern, and panfish, and are very down to earth towards their viewing audience.  I met Chip Leer and he was a great guy and not arrogant at all, which can sometimes be difficult to find with some of these guys you see on tv.

The Next Bite-Another great informative show with great hosts including Gary Parsons, Keith Kaviejecz, and Pete Maina.  These guys will teach you so much about walleye, northern, and muskie fishing, that I have come away from every show that I've watched of theirs and can honestly say that I've learned something from every show.  They are very entertaining too!!!

Gettin Close-Great hunting show, very entertaining, and getting to watch Tiffany Lakosky is always nice too!! :o  Very informative hunting show, with several different species that they hunt.  Both Lee and Tiffany are very personable and make the show very entertaining, plus they are from Minnesota, but now live in Iowa.

Road Trips with Michael Waddell-This is a very entertaining, funny, but also very informative show at the same time.  I enjoy the variety of different hunts that they do and a large variety of celebrity guests he has on the show.

What are some of your favorite Outdoors shows and why??

Ted Nugent, he is hilarious to watch.

The list you put up is very good too. I have a couple of shows that I believe are terrible too, but, too be fair to the shows, i'll keep them to myself. ;)

Pretty much all those mentioned above.  I do like the show that John Gillespie does-I just mute it though!!! ;D  WHOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH ANOTHER SLABOSAURUS!!  (I can only hear that so many times!)

*I met Tony Dean-one of the most down to earth guys I've ever met.  Kinda reminds me of my grandfather-only not nearly as ornery! (miss ya gramps!)  :'(

Whistling Wings..love Waterfowl hunting
 Flyway Hwy..ditto above
Back Roads W/Ron and Raven..unique and family entertainment
Adventure bound outdoors...hunt alot of waterfowl..unique with a little Christian values thrown in

In Fisherman..Great tips and action, alot of times right here in the midwest
 Outdoor secrets..hometown boy

Favorite fishing show of all times..Virgil Ward..man they caught some huge Canadian/Arctic Northern Pike, Arctic Char and Salmon on that show. Wish I could find some video's from that show

Favorite Video series.. Gordon Eastman filmed back in the 60s., with titles like "Challenge of the Northwest territories". Trip up the Alaskan Hwy. Then flown in to the MacKenzie Mountains in the Northwest Territories. All hunting and fishing where few men have ever stood. Shooting huge Dall Sheep, moose and grizzly. Fishing Arctic Grayling, Arctic Char, Rainbows, Giant Pike. WOW! would that have been something

Fishing Edge (AKA Angling edge) is pretty good

Fishing the Wildside is cool when they get those Canada Lakers.  Met some of the guys at the ice show this past year.

In-depth Outdoors is pretty good for a beginner.  Their first show was last weekend and was pretty informative.

A FEW YEARS from now watch for - Lake Country Productions - MNO will be the first to know of our videos that will be coming out very soon (possibly this weekend).  ;D

I'm not going to be fair to the one show I can't stand and just say the name.  Quest for the One is by far the worst outdoors show on TV.  I don't know how OLN can continue to air that program.  I use to watch it just to see how stupid it really is, but if I ever see it now I have to turn the channel right away.

One of my all time favorites was Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom.  I remember watching it as a kid and loving it!   And although it isn't 100% related, I also enjoyed watching Jacques Cousteau.

Woodchuck, I never knew one could have an echo online! Oh the things I learn on a day to day basis!  Pretty soon my brain will be full!  :o

(Yeah I know what you're thinking-full of what?!!! Well a guy has to fit in somehow-and full of %^&* seems to be a common theme)

 ;D
'
There was another one, and I can't think of it-Marlin Perkins or something like that had a good show back in the day.  As did some Marty guy.  There was a movie about his life a decade or so ago-how this kid and his brothers went off for the summer and using "old" camera's filmed all the wildlife they saw.

Ya see I have CRS and trying to think that far back hurts my brain!  :'(

I was watching this show lastnight called Survivorman on Discovery.  Has anyone else seen this show?  It's pretty good, they put this guy out in the middle of nowhere for days with pretty much nothing, and he has to survive off of whatever he can catch, he even has to do his own filming of the show because he is alone, I really enjoyed it.  Every episode he is somewhere else, whether it's in the middle of the ocean, the desert, or a jungle, etc.

I think I saw part of that last night-he was up in the Canadian Arctic on a snowmobile.  It broke down out in the middle of nowhere, and he tore it apart to make tools and shelter.  I didn't watch too much of it-but interesting!

I have caught the Survivorman show a few times. It is amazing some of the things he brings to mind that you can do, eat, etc.. to survive in the outdoors.

I can remember watching Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom with my Grandpa back in the day. I think it was on just before of just after Lawrence Welk on Sat or Sun night. That takes me back..the good ole days.

I saw survivorman on discovery channel I believe.

Thought of another show I like....Minnesota Bound.  The only time I didn't like it was when they were in Wisconsin for a show-isn't that like against the name of the show?  Shurra does a good show though.

And I like Kent Hrbek Outdoors too. FISHKI!!!  ;D

Outdoors_Realtree....I too remember having to sit through Lawrence Welk waiting for Marty's show at my grandparents on weekends!  (Maybe we ARE related?!!)  ah 1 andah 2 andah 3.....  ;D
