As for your long lost relative, Lee Boar-gersen, he's talking big because he has been busy trying to rig the team drawing and end up with me so I can carry him to victory!

excusses, chicken jim excusses. if you thinnk you impressed me youre clucking up the wrong fence, you couldnt win in a fair contest and you know it. If you take that much pride in winning a fishing side bet, with the odds so heavily in yur favor because of yur geographical local and you have a boat, you might as well won a bike race against a man in a wheel chair, but hey what ever gets yu to sleep at night right? I mean really Jim, You live in Ely MN, you could pick a different lake to fish every day of the mouth with in 20 minuets of your business and not fish the same one twice. But even myself knowning this and not even have a boat, I put up those number from shore. You couldnt pee on a fish from shore.  So thats a really impressive win chicken Jim. call me when you come out that shell of fear.

  Don't sweat it Boar.  He won't give it a go.  I tried to get him to go for a Laker challenge last summer because he lives on a lake trout lake.  He only fishes them in winter.      He wouldn't bite.  If you want a challenge with the greatoutdoors you will have to go with something in his wheelhouse.  For instance, who else can reach a dip net into a minnow tank and get 9 sticklebacks  and 3 tadpoles out of 2000 crappie minnows in a single scoop.  He's a square shooter though.  If you tell him you don't have a boat he will throw in a live  bullhead minnow from the far bottom corner of the tank.    He got lucky last year.  A digital glitch, a pixel problem, a cell phone  conundrum allowed his team a weak victory.  He can't back it up and knows Borgie is well rested from taking last year off.

I had mercy on you by not accepting the Laker side bet that you were doomed to lose! 
You do recall the "sample" Laker (28 inch, 10 lb. 4 oz.) picture I sent, that destroyed anything you ever caught in your life! 
I can't wait to see you and Boar in a head to head contest, probably the first time in Challenge history that both scores added together, never hit double figures! 
Have you two ever thought about taking up something you could excel in, like crocheting or knitting?

Come on now DDS and greatoutdoors let's stop the bickering here. Try to focus on some of the positive things that you boys have in common. For example your life long career paths. "What do we have in common there you say?" Just stop and think about it a minute.   As I see it Jimmy boy spent most of his adult life digging holes for valuable metals as a miner.

Now if you stand back and take hard a look at it you'd say "what's that got to do with DDS?"  "OH' contraire my friends! You see DDS spent most of his adult life filling holes with valuable metals as a dentist.



Therefore the moral of the story here is: I have no idea.

Even more similarities Lee, 
I was a mechanic in mining companies for 33 years, worked on rotary drills, and replaced many teeth on back hoes, excavators, and power shovels.
Of course, they were far larger and heavier teeth and drills than DDS has ever seen, which is kind of like our fishing differences in the MNO Challenges!!

Folks in Ely never thought that they would see this day come. It seems that last years hero is now this years ZERO! A Local champion fisherman and talk about town in Ely has let everyone down. For reasons of privacy his name will be withheld. It seems that he is unwilling to defend his title of 2014 Side Bet Champion. A rematch has been requested by a gentleman that calls himself Boar. He is much younger, stronger, and handsomer than the current champion.

When asked by our news team reporter why he would shy away from such a promising competitor he just raised his hands and said I surrender!

  Last year was too expensive for TGO.  He had to hire Babe to take him out fishing and supply good bait for him.  It was extra for Babe to set the hook for him.   I'm sure that was pretty humiliating but was the only way he could barely take down the Boar.

I don't schedule any contests with those in the farm team system, like DDS and Boar. 
Once they have proven their ability to catch fish (when pigs fly) they may again have a chance to make it into the big time. 
I suggest that the 2015 Challenge should have a Junior division, not by age, but by fish production over the years! 
We currently have ONLY two candidates that fit the bill, DDS (aka No Fish) and Boar (aka Tiny Fish) with equal skill levels. 
With this said, I give you the 2015 MNO Rotten Fishermen Contest, featuring those two.
Contest rule number 1:   :fishing2:
You must catch a fish within one month of the contest beginning, so it shouldn't last any longer than that!!

Way to go lentz, glad to have someone entering the Challenge that knows what they're doing!! 
If you want to pick up a few bucks, you could probably make a small fortune by opening a fishing clinic for Boar and DDS!

I'm not so good at this smack down thing? I can say I have fished a little with Boar?How's that for smack . If any thing fishing with him has good memories and laughs. After taking a year or two off I am again ready for the challenge ahead. I will leave that at that. Looking forward to landing a few nice pike this year let the games begin

       I am going to give you a beginners lesson on the smack thread.   It's a different language all together.  I will translate your post in MNO smack.  It would go something like this---

     Hi,  I'm Cookie and I am here to kick some  .  I was forced to fish with Boar a couple of times.  He annoyed me so much I had to lock his truck and throw his keys down the ice hole just to get him to quit complaining about how spell check is a violation of civil rights.

Did I just here something about catching a few nice pike this year?   Cookie if that's the case you have just raised your value as a Challenge Competitor.  I know of several folks who's eyes widened when reading your statement about a "few nice pike". Actually one of the competitors even started to foam at the mouth after reading your post.
