:police: MN DNR CO Weekly Report Excerpt:

 Sep 11, 2015

 :police: ....
Minnesota DNR WREO (Water Resource Enforcement Officer) Joe Stattelman, out of Bemidji, spent the week with Aquatic Invasive Species as a main focus of his Labor Day weekend patrols and fishermen were checked.

Report of shots fired :fudd: close to a public access were investigated.

It was found that two neighbors had been shooting a bee hive out of a tree with a shotgun. :bonk:

As Officer Stattelman explained the danger of knowing where the pellets may fall due to the large number of people in the area and on the lake, two more neighbors pulled up and informed the shooters that their wives and children had just been rained on by falling pellets on their deck and had run into the house for cover.

They reported at least three rounds of pellets hitting their deck. :doah:

The bee hive shooters immediately realized their mistake and quickly apologized.
