I've got a pretty good stock of trail cameras, 15 total.  In the past I've tried quite a few brands including Cuddeback, Moultrie, Stealth Cam, WGI, Primos, Covert and Spypoint.  My favorite by far is the Spypoint G4.  Seven of the 15 I have are this model.  Unfortunately, they do not make that model any longer.  I did add one more camera to the collection this year, a Spypoint G8 IR.  I have not been impressed with this camera.  It's OK, but not the best I've ever used.  Last year I bought a pair of Spypoint IR5 cameras.  Same story here.  I actually like these a little less than the G8.

In a nutshell what happened is that Spypoint came out with a great camera, the G4, and got me hooked and I've bought nothing but Spypoints since.  Problem is that none of the other Spypoints I've purchased compare to the G4 in picture quality, flash range or battery life.

I still have 2 Moultrie M-80's and last week one of them took a :censored: and will not work any more.  I spoke with Moultrie customer service and there's nothing they can do but offer me a discount on a new camera.  So in my quest to replace the one that went bad, I'm torn between taking the discount and buying another Moultrie - which I never really cared for in the first place - OR - just buying a new camera, any camera, that I can be fairly confident will be a good one.

I'm leaning toward the latter and since I'm getting a bit tired of being slightly dissapointed in my last few Spypoints so I'm thinking of going with another brand.  I have not tried Bushnell or Browning.  I'm torn on Cuddeback because I once had one that was awesome but the second one was probably the worst cam I've ever owned.  Any suggestions?  I'm willing to look at anything in the $125 - $175 price range.

I have had the same problem i used to love my spypoint G4 but the night time pictures and videos are very poor. so poor that I can't see whats in them I contacted spypoint and was told to just buy a new camera. Not sure what happen it was showing good night time pictures and videos and then like a light switch it was very poor not sure if i need to or how to do an update on it. But i did look into a few other cameras and i really like the covert but wildgame makes a good camera as well for the money shoot me a pm and i will show you some of the pictures and videos from both of them.
Hunting is not life and death. It is more important than that.

I added the browning 8mp this year and really like it, i to have noticed some difficulty with my moultrie m80s, but was able to make the season with them. the browning was 119.99 and really like it, i find it comparable to the bushnell trophy cam.

How are the night pics on the Browning, particularly with a moving subject?  That's my biggest gripe against most cameras.  All have some blur, some a lot more than others.

I just bought a stealth cam at the beginning of this season to add to my cam set. I really like it an it wasn't terribly expensive 79.99$ I think on sale at fleet farm. I also run moultries(my favorite an most reliable) I have a wildgame innovations blade an it's ok. Pictures are so so. My most expensive camera is the "seen" by cuddeback for 119.99$ an it's garbage. An I think it's done for And its only a year old

Interesting stuff.  I have three cameras, all the same.  Bushnell Trophy Cam.  I have had good luck with them.  Excellent day photos and ok night ones.  Excellent battery life. (one set of 8 AA lasts more than one season and takes 1000's of pictures)  Very easy to setup and use.  My next one will have the invisible flash, and plot watch features.

I know what ya mean with the blurry night pics, but I gusse since one cant hunt at night and really just needs to identify the animal, no doubt i like clear crisp pics but its not a deal breaker for me.
