I'm thinking about getting an AR and this Remington caught my eye.  Anyone know anything about them?

I don't know anything about that rifle.  As long as it is mill. spec. you really can't go wrong.  AR's are a blast to shoot and easily transformed into anything you want.

General... Ive got a old Colt Sporter AR-15  Mama and the kids bought me for Xmas 25+ years ago.  Great little rifle has shot prob 2-3000 rounds out of it, most target shooting with the kids.  Have shot a couple coyotes with it.  I think she paid about $500 for it new, you could buy 1000 rds for $120 back then.  If using for coyotes looks like a long barrel??  Do you have lots of Ammo... they tend to eat it.   Id get a suppressor first though....? legal in Mn....

Corny I believe this model has a 22 inch barrel or an 18 as another option.  I'm guessing I would opt for the longer of the 2.

I forgot to mention Dakota has a free download fill in the blanks Firearm trust form.  WHat I used to get mine..you don't have to pay a attorney for one.   Shooting high velocity rounds they are not silent... but I get NO ringing in my ear shooting a .308 without wearing any ear protection.  My left ear is shot from shooting too much as a kid and young man, btw, and will get some ringing even with silicone plugs without the can.

Corny, I am not a lawyer but according to some on the Predator forum with Obama's new executive order will eliminate the trust you talk of and anytime you are not where your suppressor is those people are in violation of the law.  Hence you leave your house without your gun and the wife is home with it she is in violation of the law.  Not sure who's going to enforce it though.

Remington AR's are the same as DPMS, atleast when DPMS was located in St. Cloud.  Not sure if they are still doing Remington AR's after the move down south or not.
