I noticed you don't get too excited when you go out fishing and don't catch much since you get most your fish in Inger anyway. :smoking: :sleazy: :super smiley: :laughroll: :laughroll: :laughroll:

Morning boys. 51 and windy here too, heading for a 51 today. Short drive to get there. My mom And Aunt are doing another garage sale in Princeton the next 2-1/2 days to raise money for the daughter. Hoping it goes well for them. Otherwise, just another day in the salt mines. Have a good one boys.

Morning boys.  50 here and that's about it for the day.  I may mow.  Not sure.  I bought a 10 lb box of bacon at the store and will repack it into smaller portions today.  SO mayhaps I will cook some up.  A friend told me he really likes this bacon so I hope it is good. I see leaves falling in the wind out there.  May have to bundle up whilst mowing.  Well have a good one boys.

Mornin' gang! 57 at choretime heading for a high in the low 70's. Smoke from western fires is making the sky hazy. Not helping the hay dry very fast. Oh well, they took the slight chance of rain out of the forecast for tomorrow nite & Fri. so we'll get 'er baled eventually. A few more yield checks on tap today then it's a waiting game. May take some days off. Of course if I was like glenn, every day is a day off!  :rotflmao: Too bad the Canadian border remains closed for the most part or we'd be making a run. Heard the next target date for border crossing has been pushed back to Oct. 14th. Pretty sure it'll get extended again so that'll pretty well end any chances for this year.

second oldest son and his buddy should be here in a bit to load up the ash tree I finished chunking up yesterday. Pretty nice sized one, my 18" bar didn't have much sticking out of it towards the end. Going to knock down three spruce trees on the edge of the property because they're begining to be a traffic hazard on the CO RD going pass the house. We've pulled out in front of a couple of cars lately. Anywho, since lps mentioned bacon I believe that's what is for breakfast. My dog is laying on the floor in the living room and I know he'll come out a drop dead sleep as soon as that bacon hits the frying pan. Amazes me how he can do that. Have a great day everyone.  :happy1: :happy1:

Check that tentative border crossing date on Oct. 14th. My reliable Canadian source now says Oct. 21st instead.

So, just how tough could it be to follow a soon to be ex-union thug around?  Go down to the hall to have coffee & donuts? Then come home for lunch? Take a nap? Watch Bonanza & Gunsmoke then get ready for supper? I'd have to do some conditioning but think I could do it.  :rotflmao:

Nice job Coffee!! Morning boys. Had 33 when I got up and then it dropped to 32 shortly after that. So I ran out and grabbed some plastic and covered the tomato plants before any frost sets in. We had 27 coming across to Warroad and lots of frosty stuff over here. We are supposed to get up to 56 here today then warm up some more as the weekend gets closer. Ground up and packaged the bear burger last night. So that is all in the freezer now. Otherwise just another day in the salt mines. Have a good one boys.

Congrats from me too coffee. I have one dead-fall branch in my woods left to hack apart and burn today. A quick trip to fleet to grab a tube of grease to do some wheel bearings, a new flag for the schoolhouse up North and something to mount the license on my wheeler. Then clean garage and pack for the weekend of riding wheelers in Hubbard Co. Outta keep me out of trouble for a couple of hours. Need more coffee....... Have a great day everyone. :happy1: :happy1:

Morning boys.  Good job Coffee!  The wife said we had 28.5 when she got up at 6 this morning.  Frost everywhere. Been doing work around the yard and did the last mowing I am thinking.  It looks like nice weather for us for the next couple of weeks maybe.   :happy1:  Gonna fill more holes with dirt today.  Smooth out the yard some.  You all have a good one.

Mornin' gang! 44 at choretime heading for a high in the low 60's. Way to go coffee!  :happy1: Finished the last of the yield checks on a high note yesterday. Some fields will definitely ring the bell on both corn and beans. In the meantime my hay is drying s-l-o-w-l-y due to the recent cool temps & haze from the smoke. Prolly flip it later today but starting to look like it won't be ready until the weekend. That's OK. Lots of other "fun" stuff I can be doing.

Morning boys. 32 at home this morning heading for 61 today. The warm up will start today. Looks like we should stay up in the 60s and 70s for awhile now. Heading sown to Grand Forks in the morning to help the kid reroof his house. Hopefully we can get most of it done tomorrow.  Other than that, just another day in the salt mines. Have a good one boys.

Morning boys.  It is sitting at 24 here right now.  Looks like a dusting of snow with all of the frost.  Better wear your knee pads JB.  That roofing isn't as easy as it used to be.  I am going to sharpen the chain saws today in the warm garage.  Then get the camper warmed up for the weekend.  Gonna be another great day.

Yes sir. Did I happen to mention I hate shingling. The wife asked earlier this week why I don't have a roofing nailer. Because I hate shingling I said.

LOL  Sure as heck don't want one of them or everyone will want you to help.  I thought about doing our house last summer and then came to my senses and hired it done.

Mornin' gang! 39 at choretime heading for a high in the low 60's. Let's hope it actually makes it there today. With a cloudy day it got to 59 for about 10 seconds yesterday. The hay I'd like to get dry is about the consistency of pipe tobacco. If it doesn't hurry it up, it's gonna be bleached out & the same color too.  Ya boober, crops will be coming off a little ahead of schedule. Have been scattered reports of harvest activity on early planted early maturity corn & beans. Results sound promising. Some corn at 225 bu./acre & soybeans at 73 bu./acre.

A sad note: We lost a pillar of the community and a WWII war hero. Used to bump into Buddy frequently at the post office. Class act all the way around.
