Good Morning. If it weren't for lack of rain I'd say the weather is perfect. It was all show and know go here also. We ended up with .13 inches. At this point I think rain would help the beans but the chapter is nearly closed on the corn. In all honesty we are in  pocket that seems to just not get the rain. Oftentimes its just a mile or two away.

We received .60" of an inch here. Not much, but I'll take it. Headed West of town today to pick up a three ton floor jack from a couple that are selling their stuff at their Summer place so they can in turn sell that. I grabbed an eight drawer cabinet and a Lincoln welder from them yesterday. They also have a 2005 Kubota B7800 tractor with a 72" finish mower on it and a loader on the front. 185 hours only and I think they're asking around 12K for it. If anyone is interested send me a note. Got to go, later...  :happy1: :happy1:

Yup, another "glennstorm"... :rotflmao:

I'd say you're right on the money about the corn vs. beans situtation. Looking at the rainfall guesstimates over the upcoming week tho, we should garner some substantial rainfall.

Heading into town this a.m. to run some errands. A guy is talking about wanting to pick corn by the 10th so he can take advantage of the 75 cent over basis by the 15th. Too early for this crap... :pouty:

It is for incoming Canadians but not for outgoing Americans with your shots & a negative COVID test within 72 hours. Buddy is up there right now. Just got some pics from him a couple minutes ago. The yard around their cabin is full of saplings.

I agree glenn. When I get back from my errands, I'll post some things about an ongoing COVID situation literally just down the road from us. We have been misled and lied to, big time.

Morning boys. Had a good night in the camper last night.  We got 1.8" of rain.  Windy and misty now.  Had to have my wipers on when I went to town earlier.  We didn't even have any puddles as the water soaked right in the ground.  Good feeling to get the rain.  The river needs some water.  That sure would be a nice tractor Mark.  Real low hours on it.

HE SCORES!!!!! With bacon at $6.99 to $7.99 lb here (really!) found a big sale with this brand, Hickory Country for $3.99 lb.  Tried a pkg of it last week, and it's darned good. Plus, it's all thick cut. And, also for $3.99...
Glenn Pizzas! Bought 8 pkgs of the bacon (they had double coolers overflowing with it) and two Lotsa Slopsa's.
I'm set!!!  :azn:

Speaking of that, wasn't there a Cold Spring brand horseradish once upon a time in the stores? One kind had a blue label & the other one was a red label. Don't remember if it corresponded to the coarseness of the grind or just what.

Check that. It was SILVER SPRING. Still being made over in WI. Thought for a minute glenn & his little blue buddies had been holding out on us, making the stuff in his basement... :doah:

:rotflmao: :rotflmao: Yea not!! :rotflmao: I'd rather make a bunch and give it away then try and make that much and try and sell it.

And  :tut: no way in the basement. Besides I make mine with tender loving care that requires at least a 12 pac of  :toast: :happy1:

I've tried the various types of stuff like that, just never really cared for it. I prefer my horseradish straight up on stuff I want it on  :happy1:

Got a jar of Silver Spring in the 'friggentater. Good stuff.  In other words, the TLC of which you speak, means stumbling around and hugging a vat of horsey-sauce to remain upright, due to the fact yer totally piggerfied?  :doofus:   :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:
