It looked nasty here ~ 8. Lots of thunder & lightning as it approached, wind blew pretty hard for ~ 10 minutes, rain lasted about 20.

Pretty good light show with all of the lighting East of us last night. We didn't get anything but I'm thinking glenn got some rain. Trip to FF in order today for some stuff and then I thinks I may split some wood today before I head back to Hubbard Co. on Tuesday to meet with the heating guy on Wednesday morning at 8:30. I'll have to put some stuff away from last week's trip too. Heard we had somewhere between 4,500 and 5,100 kids yesterday for Youth Day. No official count as of this morning. Later.... :happy1: :happy1:

Morning boys. 59 here and heading for 68 today. Sounds like light rain most of the day with strong winds. Good day to be at work I guess.  Maybe. Back to normal work schedule  for awhile. Time to try and get some things done around home and hunting season is just around the corner. Well, just another day in the salt mines. Have a good one boys.

Morning boys.  We have a little over a quarter of an inch from yesterday and early this morning.   Like JB said a good chance of rain a few times throughout the day.  I need to get the tractor running.  The battery isn't charging up completely but I will try it anyways.   Will see how the weather cooperates with me.

Mornin gents, 60*& windy for our start, 66* looks to be the high. Looks like we had a little > .8" of rain last night. There's a small chance of more early PM today again. Glad I mowed the biggest parts of the yard yday as they were getting pretty shaggy. Another short list today, the deck on the old mower has been giving me some grief so I think I need to adjust the linkage that engages it a bit more. So that's where I'll start. 'Bout it here, have a good day.

Afternoon gang! Was 63 at choretime & should make the upper 70's later this afternoon, maybe. Brought 3 of the ewes & 1 ram lamb that were out on the show circuit back home late yesterday afternoon. Glad some friends brought them down to their farm by Faribault so I didn't have to battle my way in and out of the State Fair grounds. Talked to several who watched our Crop Tour interviews this a.m. then counted the corn rootworm beetles on the last round of sticky traps. Putting them in the freezer a few days 1st like a buddy does was a great idea. The bugs don't move around so much. I was a little worried about them maintaining their color for ID purposes but wasn't a problem. Head home, do chores, write some of a column then hopefully sleep like a rock. After counting those bugs, I snuck in a little nap so I should be good to go. 😴

This was filmed in Leech Lake. They are not native to the US but hail from the Yangtze River in China.  They have been here for a few decades and don't seem to be a problem.  ??????  Yet. They are only in this stage for a couple of weeks.  Their stingers are not big enough to hurt humans.

Morning boys. 59 here and going for 77 today. It was a cool crappy day up here yesterday. Windy and drizzly all day yesterday. That is interesting about the jellyfish in Leech. We go to Leech and usually swim too. Glad to know their stingers are not big enough. I will have to show that to the wife. Well, just another day in the salt mines. Have a good one boys.

Mornin guys, 59 here too & on our to 77 as well. Going be another breezy 1 here again. Messed withh the old mower yday & it seemed to help but when I was working on it, I noticed that there may be a spring on the belt tensioner missing. I will mess with that some more today. Mowed down by the road yday afternoon for a trial run. No more now, have a good 1!!

Mornin' gang! 53 at choretime heading for a high in the mid-70's. What a gorgeous start to a day! Feeling like September because it almost is. Finish writing copy for the print deadline then need to get some feed, again. Should get a load of bulk cracked corn next week so that will help slow the trips for the bagged stuff. Pick some more garden stuff tonite, get the mower ready for tomorrow nite then see what else I can get into trouble with.
