I did my duty today,  wasn't bad if it weren't fer all the district judge's on the back I'd been otta there in 4 minutes. Afternoon peoples chopped and sucked up leaves yesterday til almost dark before the rain, but why I wonder if nobody else on block cares the big winds just fill up the yard anyhow  :bonk: . Momma is heading otta town tomorrow fer her annual girly gathering,  sooo the pooch and I have a free pass for a few days( could use that skid steer of yours Dotch come Sunday)  ;)  :happy1: . Anywho gots a big pot of chili burbling so that'll probably be dinner for a few...See ya!!

Just got the gutters cleaned out and it wasn't pretty.  The blower sort of worked but they were so wet that I then had to get the ladder out and do it all by hand.  Not a happy camper. I need to give that ladder to someone I hate.  The bottom is tweaked on it.  It is sprinkling here now too. HH may come early today.

After voting my wife was waiting in the polling area when a "judge" told her due to rules, she could not wait there. Shortly after she moved to another area, a MAN stood in the same spot, and no one told him he couldn't wait there. Funny thing is the spot was next to a table with "complaint" forms.  :rotflmao:

Morning boys.  39 here and will shoot up to 40 I guess.  Calm and cloudy out.  Good deer hunting day.  Quiet in the woods.  So we had new gutters installed a few years ago.  We always have a drip coming down from the one right over the door we use.  I noticed yesterday that it is tilted the wrong way.  Mayhaps I can fix that today.  It will be on my nice step ladder so won't be so bad.  We shall see.  Well you all have a good one getting ready for the storm.

Mornin gang, 42 & we may get up to 43, foggy too. More rain on its way by 10 AM today, according to the radar. Going to stay warm enough that it won't change to :snow5: ''til tomorrow PM is what TWC's website is saying. We're headed to town today too, should be a quick trip though as we're planning on heading back south early next week. 'Bout it here, have a good day!

Mornin' gang! 56 at choretime heading for a high in the upper 60's. .57" of rain at the ranch in the past 24 hrs. & .29" in Bugtussle. Rough nite. Lost a dear friend who helped fit & show our sheep for many years. His ticker was bad & finally gave out. Was the kind of guy you'd wind up with at Waffle House at 3 a.m. Got an email last nite from his wife saying he'd died Nov. 2nd. Not sure what kind of arrangements might be pending. He's from IL originally so guessing there may be some kind of a service there. Got the last of the apples tossed over the fence to the sheep & ground the leaves up yesterday ahead of the rain just barely. Looks like more rain possibly tonite into tomorrow then the other shoe drops.

Thanks guys. Scoop introduced to me to the fine art of fitting and trimming show sheep with a hand shears. When we worked together we'd knock out 4 or 5 a day. He'd trim the tops and butts while I hammered the underlines, sides and front ends. I hadn't trimmed a sheep for several years until this past summer. It was a natural colored ewe still in the grease (unwashed). New territory for me but I gave it my best shot. When I was done I looked at it & said dayim! I still got it thanks to Scoop. That ewe won everything at Steele Co. & placed 4th or 5th at State Fair where the competition is fierce. He was tickled when I told him how well she'd done.  :happy1:

Princess was a ewe we showed in Nov. 1998 in Louisville at the NAILE. Judge took forever, she got fed up & showed like crap. A lot of hours of work down the tubes. She still looked nice.

By the time he gets those tree rats, they should be nice and tender mikey. If you toss some katchup in the box, glenn might eat them raw!

Turned off the power and gas,  sooo the outfit that put it in is coming out tomorrow for a second opinion and I guess we'll go from there. Good thing I gotta pile of wood ready and waiting for the weekend.  The last furnace went 22 yrs, sure would thunk a newer one would go more than 12. Morning boys.  Not a flake of snow here yet.  The schools in the area are starting 2 hours late expecting it to be messy already.  I see in the Dakotas it is nasty and power is out due to ice on lines.  Our furnace is 20 years old too Bobb.  My electrician buddy got it all tuned up for us so will run it as long as we can.  I even bought some spare parts for it since I could still get them.  Good for you for coming home before you got in trouble Glenn.  It is easier to stay out of trouble at our age.  No big plans for the day.  Maybe do some garage cleanup.  It is a mess and need to get ready for burning wood season.  Well keep your eye on the weather boys.  Haven't heard from JB for awhile.  Wonder if he is power hunting in the forest?  Hope all is well.

Morning boys. 30 and no snow yet. Looks like mid late morning supposed to start here. Funny you ask LPS. Came home yesterday afternoon noon from deer camp.  Hunting the state land up by the house now. Ended up with a bum left foot opening day. Could barely walk. The joint on the big toe really hurt and foot was all swollen. Finally went to doc on Tuesday. She thinks gout. Gave me some pills for it. Getting little better now. First time since Saturday that I have been able to get a boot on it. Luckily it was dry at deer camp so I could drive my blazer right to my stand. Well you boys have a good one.
Hey look your bobber is up!

Mornin' gang! 62 at choretime, likely to be our high dropping to around 40 by late afternoon. Got .02" of rain in Bugtussle earlier this a.m. Glanced at the gauge at the ranch on the way to the barn but forgot to read it before heading in. Looked similar. Otherwise, just another day for us peasants under the communist regime here in the People's Republic of MN. Have to make sure all my papers are in order so I can go to the car club meeting tonite. Wife takes off tomorrow for a few days so it'll be just me & Poppy. At least I have someone to drink with, comrades...:whistling: Hope your toe gets better JB. The buddy who takes me along to Canada has gout. Can't drink much beer so by the time we get done in the Border Bar in I Falls, I've got a pitcher plus any other adult beverage I've managed to consume along the way under my belt. I'm half lit by the time we get across.  :doah:

Snowing like a mother now.  Can't even see the river and the wind is howling.  Did some garage cleanup this morning and started the first fire of the year.  So nice to go out there and putz.  Or sit and watch TV and relax by the fire.
