Morning boys.  25 here but seems colder.  Winter does suck doesn't it Mike?   I haven't adapted to the cold yet obviously.  I used to cut through Nelson on my way to Ottertail from Stillwater a lot.  Never went in for a drink but always thought about it.  Too bad.  Looked like a nice place.  I may try plowing the driveway today.  Hopefully the ground is stiffened up now.  Think I may go to town and get a turkey today etc.  Including a frozen pecan pie and whipped cream.   :sleazy:

Mornin gents, 25* at 1st peek here & we're headed for 33*. Light snow here & it might keep that up most of the day. We'll be keepin an eye on the weather as we we're heading back south 1 of these next few days. TWC's site says they're getting 2-4" down home today & it sounds like the metro getting about that too.........................so we'll see.  No more now, have a good day.

Thanks guys for the well wishes for the Mrs. She's at PT right now. I picked up 78 hides yesterday just around town, going to do the boxes North of Alex today and expect about a 100 from them. Too bad about the Corral. They had good food, cold beer and it was the home of "Shoot the Minnow". If you take a shot of your favorite along with a live minnow in it you get a tee-shirt with "Shoot the Minnow, Corral Nelson Minnesota" on it. They had to quit using live minnows a few years back because someone thought it was too inhumane and complained.  :rotflmao:Cup #3 almost finished, time to get to it, later.... :happy1: :happy1:

Best wishes for your wife markn. Same for you Dotch. The one time I was in Louisville its a miracle I didn't break something.
Going to have BLTs tonight and grilled burgers tomorrow. That will be the end of the garden tomatoes. We are nearly out of the homegrown pears too. Was great while they lasted.

Well at least it is Friday for me. I will be hunting Thursday thru Sunday. Unless I stack like cord wood.  :rotflmao: Not likely. Well you boys have a good one.

Morning boys.  Like JB said we have snow falling now.  Will have to shovel the deck again today.  I plowed some the other day but the ground was a little soft yet so will let it freeze up a little more.  It must be freezer time of year.  I got rid of the old 23 cu ft deep freeze in the garage and got a little 7 cu ft one.  Of course that isn't big enough.  We had a small upright in the basement that was real handy before it conked out.  I am going to order one today to be delivered next Tuesday.  16 cu ft. Frigidaire upright.   :happy1:  This will qualify for a thing for the wife so the  next thing we get is for me.   :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :happy1:  We will see.  lol  Well have a good one and drive careful.

Mornin guys, 26* here & we may get all the way up to 28*. Mn DOT has too much pink between US 2 & ML for us & there's more in the TC's forecast too, so we're going to wait to travel. Put the snow moving gear in action yday PM & we found at least 3" in most spots. We had 33* when we finished so it was wet, sticky stuff by then. No plans here yet, have a good day.

It's off to the dentist this morning to get a crown fixed. Yippee. After that plow snow and hopfully get some stuff moved around in the garage so the Winter things are out and easy to get to, and the Summer things are put away.
lps, take a look at Bemidji Craigslist to see if there's a freezer you could use for $100.00 instead of $700.00. Good luck. Gotta go, later.... :happy1: :happy1:

Made it to deer river. State highways are good, county roads, well let's just say welcome to Minnesota winter driving.

First ice I seen on a lake was lake Emily. Big rice south of Remer, where a certain chair is  :sleazy: :rotflmao: and little white oak look completely froze over.

Now to go get me a deer!🦌

Afternoon comrades! 24 at choretime topped out in the upper 20's I think. In Lakeville where wife is getting a CT scan. I managed to catch the crud from someone. The wife ain't exactly a fun patient either so this has been a real barrel of laughs.
