Are they arresting Walz & Ellison?

Aw crap! Now I see as of 8:48 p.m. The People's Republic of Steele Co. has been included in the blizzard warning. Figures. Up to about 5" of snow so far & it's snowing steady. Been lambing off and on all day. Still waiting on contestant #4 to tip her hand. Hopefully I don't have to go full-scale Dr. Pol on her...🤔

Morning boys. -17 here this morning. Burr. Got the driveway all cleaned up here last night. After making the run over to Roseau to get propane. Worth the drive when it is .25 per lb cheaper there than Warroad and I had a 100 lb and a 40 lb tank to fill. Otherwise just getting ready for another day in the salt mines. Have a good one boys.

Good morning all.   -12 here but the wind makes it a bit chilly.  Ole Mother Nature has to remind us that it is still winter.  Not sure what the plan for today is.  Work for a while and might just go fishing.  They say we could get some snow tonight so catching might be good.

Yea he said he's still busy doing that!! I gave up on Facebook so I don't see his works of art though.

He does have that stuff figured out and sure does a good job with it.   I got hooked on the Lake Trout and needed some large custom tubes.  I went to buy some and could not find exactly what I wanted or maybe more so was not willing to pay $30/each for them.   So I bit the bullet and bought what is needed to make them.   All said and done it might have been just cheaper to buy them.

Mornin boys, 24 here & we might climb to 27. Been snowin lightly since ~ 6, plenty of wind too. The appt went well yday as we were back on I 35 heading north 20 minutes before he was even 'sposed to be there. :happy1: In & out in ~ 45 minutes. We run into a little squall at Clear Lake though that made the visibility a bit iffy because it was so light & fluffly. Fortunately, it didn't last very long. We were back home by 3. Got a couple errands to run so that will where I start this day. If you have to drive today, be carefull!! Hopin your Wednesday's a good 1.

Morning boys.  -20 here.  Just a few more days of this then warm up.  lol  I need to make a dump run and clean up snow around here.  Not in a big hurry with these temps. I told the wife not to be surprised if nothing changes today.  LOL  Supposed to get up to about 4 above I think.  Maybe things will start happening once it warms up some.

Not sure what's on the agenda today other than plow some snow, check the oil on the truck before I leave on Friday and take the plow off tomorrow night. Looks like enough for me, later.... :happy1: :happy1:

Mornin' comrades! 17 at choretime heading for a high in the low 20's. Roughly 6" of snow total thus far  and looks like Round 2 is getting underway. Still melting out the last 4" worth. Had 5 ewes lamb over the past 24 hrs. Had to blow snow to get to the barn this a.m. so it's been a long morning. Not much sleep either so I predict a long winter's nap in my future. Some of the yard has blown completely clear and like usual, it's piled it up wherever it's most inconvenient. It goes thru the blower nice altho some of the drifts are up to 2' - 3' deep. The downside is I can't take a full swipe or need to shave the top off 1st & take another bite given the horsepower I'm dealing with. The good news is I'm less apt to shear a pin that way. Gets the job done.

Afternoon peoples 21 and some sideways snow, coming down perty good. Was really hoping they would shut the doors and yank our trucks off the road tomorrow but noooo, we might lose out on a sale. Sooo not going in til 6, but still I told the yard boss I'll show up when you do, he said good luck with that, basically the ones that make the company money have to go in but management gets to work from home.. :bs: Anywho,  all I got...See ya!!

Good afternoon.   Had a little hail, or maybe graupel, here in SD today.   Also very windy.

Morning boys. -6 here this morning. And heading for around 0 today. We were without power from 1:20 to 5:15 this morning. LPS was probably also. Of course the wood boiler went over temp and blew the relief valve. Just got done fixing that's d getting the heat going again. Pretty strange, lived here since 2007 and have never lost power in the winter. Twice now this winter it has happened. Going to be a late start in the salt mines today. Have a good one boys.

Mornin gang, 21* here & we'll top out at 23*. We only got ~ 2" here, but I was just out & there was a real fine mist happening yet then. I'm sure we'll need to mess with the snow as 1 of our 1st chores & will just go from there. Have a good day.

Morning boys.  We lost power here too and just as I was calling North Star about 2 am the power came back on.  We weren't out of power as long as you JB.  They said it was a transmission failure and Williams, Roosevelt, and Baudette were all without power.  Bad thing at this time of year.  They are a great crew so glad they were on top of it.  Today I am helping my rancher buddy and his wife go pick up beef at the same and only butcher in the area.  They have 5 steers over there butchered.  All sold I believe.  So we will box it up and take it back to their place I suppose.  I will see when I get there.  My buddy is recovering from a stroke so no idea how this will all pan out but glad I can help.  It is only -4 here so 16 degrees warmer than yesterday morning.  That is a plus.  Breezy here but not too bad.   One day closer.....

Good morning all.  It's a bit chilly and windy here.  Got a dusting of snow so far but that's it.  Supposed to get more this afternoon but then we were supposed to get dumped on last night too.  So we just wait and see.

Insulated, finally, the East wall of the new garage. Thinking of putting up the sheeting, but the current temp outside may (will) change my mind. LPS, I see Lavern is in the girls state hockey tourney, good luck to them.
The wife, in her normal fashion, thought there may be too much snow in front of the house garage for her to get out. I asked her if I need to plow it out and why she didn't mention this an hour earlier. Didn't get a reply to either question, just the door closing as she left. More coffee, I'm on a roll, later.... :happy1: :happy1:

Good morning from International Falls. -3 here right now, the tree branches are moving so there is a breeze out there. No snow yesterday so that's good. Didn't lose power so that's even better. Temp is suppose to creep just above zero today and keep going up from there.

Yesterday picked up a couple new books to read and baked a Yellow cake with Chocolate frosting. Today I need to get some sunflower seeds for the birds. Might look for a new mailbox also. Mine is in pretty tough shape, a embarrassment actually. It won't get replaced until spring but LPS assures me that's not far away!   Getting lighter in the mornings every day.

Stay safe.

With so many butchers in the area I should build a walk in cooler and start doing that as a side gig.

Mornin' comrades! 17 at choretime heading for a high around 19 then falling. Snow appears to be out of here & the wind is down but out of the NW. 2 more ewes lambed between yesterday & last nite. Barn is full again. Tractor was ornery this a.m. iced up the throttle/governor mechanism so when I 1st started it, it wound out of control. Got the ice off of it & then proceeded to shear the pin off on the throttle control handle! What a Rube Goldberg outfit. No wonder Dad said IH got in trouble for building tractors for stockholders & not farmers. Nothing a visegrip wouldn't fix for today.

Afternoon boys.  Just got chores here done when I got home and some loving for the dogs and Bob.  You may be in hot water when your wife gets home Markn.  LOL  Good job on the cake Dutch.  Yes the butcher is about 70 miles from us.  No others in the area.  None in the Falls anymore and the other closest may be in Blackduck.  That's 75 miles south.  Just not a lot of cattle or hogs around here anymore.  No sheep and there used to be quite a few I guess.  The two guys that I help at different times of the year are about the only ones left with beef cattle.  There are about 3 others in the county.   About 16 years ago not long after we moved here I remember there was a story about the last milk farm ending their program.  Hence the shortage of butchers I guess.  Well we had 2 pickups full of boxed meat after we transfered it all from the butchers totes to our boxes.  Then we went and delivered it all.  Just got mine in the freezer and it all looks great.  Lots of T bones, burger, chuck roasts etc.  Much nicer job than on my pork.  Leftovers of the pork roast that turned out great and then I am going to tie into some beef!!!   Was a cold and windy day too so feels good to be back home.  Had a great time talking to my farmer/rancher buddy.  Him and his wife are darn good people.  Getting a little parched...   :sleazy:
