Morning boys.  The river is flowing finally.  Some ice chunks coming down but moving pretty slow.  No high water yet.  Usually the more the current the better the spring fishing.  I too may hit the landfill today.  Have a lot of stuff in the Ford that I need to get rid of. May hit 65 here today.  There has been wind too which helps the melt.  Rain starting on Thursday.  Del that was an awesome pictorial of that Studebaker.  I bet Dotch will love that.  Good to hear from you.  Well time for another cup so see ya later.

Mornin' comrades! 52 at choretime heading for a high in the upper 70's. Topped out yesterday at 73 on the slightly less than reliable ranch thermometer. Got 3 of my customer's fruit trees pruned yesterday. Try & finish the last 3 this a.m. after I get my haircut. St. Olaf Lake was about half open when I went by this a.m. Between the warm temps this afternoon and 80+ degree highs with wind forecast for tomorrow, it should be completely open. Kinda hoping that's how it works with my electric fence too. Just one spot where it was still stuck under the snow.

Thanks del for posting that link on the guy's Golden Hawk. They were quite the car from both the appearance and performance perspective. The Hawk's place in automotive history isn't widely known anymore. It's still fun to look at them and even more fun to drive them!  :happy1:

Morning boys.  Man it was nice yesterday.  Mid 60's.  Low 60's here on the river today.  Then rain starting tonight and 50's tomorrow.  I have some dog poop raked up that someone needs to bag up today.  ???   Will go check out the shore ice on the river and see if the dock is thawing out yet.  Quite a few boats running around yesterday so their wakes help too.  Have a good one.

Good morning All.   Just seen the first Robin and the Black Birds are here this morning.  Yesterday I spent my first day of the year on the water on Lake Superior and man did my face get sunburnt.  Did not even think about frozen sunscreen.

Going to drive around and check how many bingo tickets we have sold at some of the local businesses. Thinking lunch in Rose City around noonish may be in order. Hope the driveway dries out some more. It two wheel drive yesterday, four wheel drive on Monday. Also looks like the frost may have went out here in some places. The lake in the front yard is gone this morning. Later..... :happy1: :happy1:

Mornin' comrades! 60 at choretime heading for a high in the mid-80's. The slightly less than reliable ranch thermometer topped out ~ 82 yesterday but with the breeze it didn't feel quite that warm. Ice was completely out on St. Olaf Lake this a.m. Finished pruning fruit trees that count yesterday. Had a big treetop out of one of the ash trees down after the wind last night. Wasn't rotten, just snapped it right off. Eventually those ash trees will have to come out. The previous owners planted them closer to the house than they should have. They left some gawd awful boxelders in front of them that I took out. Fart & hunks of them would blow down. :doah: Should be able to get the electric fence up & charged tonite. Be fun to watch the lambs running in the lot out front of the barn again.
