Morning boys.  34 here headed to 50ish today.  I got the camper home yesterday so will get it all ready for action this weekend.  We had some rain yesterday evening for awhile.  During the middle of the night the wife heard some noise and checked it out.  Here she caught Cooper with his front feet on the countertop licking the butter out of the dish.  I wonder if he has done a lick or two before this?  LOL  SO now we have to change that program.  Butter is in the cupboard now.

Well we got the dog delivered yesterday for her training to begin. The place we dropped her off at was just NW of Mora. So my brother and I got to visit for five and half hours yesterday. I think we did get almost every subject concerning life, politics, fishing and hunting covered too. 95% of it was fishing and hunting. We also did find time to stop at Theilens in Little Falls and I scored five pounds of bacon. All of the lakes over there were ice free, the first frozen one I remember coming home was Osakis. Well time to start cleaning stuff to do sausage later today. Have a great day all, later..... :happy1: :happy1:

Mornin' comrades! 48 at choretime heading for a high in the upper 50's. A few sprinkles in the overnite but nothing measurable. Car club run to The Toybox bar & grill in Kilkenny was so-so. In no hurry to go back there. Stuck us in a garage-type place attached to their outdoor area so we could have our meeting. Hard to hear. The one old guy bitched about it, then proceeded to yap so loud during the whole meeting so no one could hear. The classic tho was him telling us we could only go to BTT50's on Sunday. When he said that I winked at my buddy Jim. Think we'll go whenever we feel like it and stay as long as we want like we've done the past two years.  :happy1:

Funny. Makes you wonder who is training who.  :rotflmao: Maybe Cooper is the master.  ;) We seen those thunder heads on our way home from work last night. Thought maybe they were further east. We got zero rain at our place last night.

The driveway was wet & we had a light mist at 8:30. It has turned to a light rain by the time I came in ~ a 1/2 hr ago.

Of course Buddy who is almost 13 is just automatically a great dog that never gets in trouble.  Up until he was about 2 Cooper was pretty much learning from Buddy.  Hardly ever got in trouble.  The last 6 months he discovered how big he is and that the countertop is his domain when we leave him alone.  And it was no big deal when we left them in the house when we went for even a day.  Now he barks and looks at me cuz he doesn't want me to leave him.  I hope he gets over it.  I think it is separation anxiety and he is mad at me.  We will put them in the kennel now for the rest of the summer.

Morning boys.  I stayed up for the Vikes pick last night and they traded it to SF.  Why do I put myself through all of that?  LOL  34 here and sunny.  Like Mike said some rain is in the forecast but not sure exactly when.  Thinking the wife is going to want a fire today.  That will be fun.  May even turn the water on out to our campsite.  Not much else going on and that is ok.

We got about 80 pounds of venison polish and bratwurst made last night. Didn't make it to bed until 2:20 this morning. Been awhile since the last time I stayed up that long. Need to clean up a bit in the garage today and wrap some meat. I see a nap in my future today. Later..... :happy1: :happy1:

Mornin' comrades! 38 at choretime heading for a high in the upper 40's. Another .1" of precip the past 24 hrs. at the ranch & .18" in Bugtussle. I woke up crabby this morning. Fortunately she left to go decorate for a wedding & won't be back until Sunday nite. Poppy and I are unsupervised. Unfortunately I have to get a trailer load of hay & grab some bagged feed sometime after that. No rest for the wicked altho as several have mentioned, there could be a nap, especially with no one around to make sure I can't.

Morning boys.  We got all of our stuff back in the camper yesterday.  Built a fire which felt good.  It was a cool day with north wind so after a couple of hours we doused the fire.  May drag the yard again today as most of the snow from plowing has disappeared.  May even get the dock in but we shall see.

Mornin boys, 36 here & should end up ~ 51 again. Cleaned up most of the sticks & pine needles around the big pines on the north side of the cabin yday. Threw them in the burn barrel & got rid of most of 'em too. Too windy for that today though. Go get a paper & then decide what else will happen today. The neighbor came up mid-afternoon yday, so we had a little late HH. 'Bout it here, have a good 1.

Mornin' comrades! 36 for a low heading for a high in the mid to upper 40's. .01" of rain recorded that ranch the past 24 hrs. the result of some very light passing showers later afternoon yesterday and evening. Got my hay and feed before that came about. Putzed with light weeding, removed the canes from some peonies and picked up some crap in the yard. Got feed to unload, hay to unload & stack then fill some birdfeeders afterwards. Waiting for the stuff on the radar to show its hand. Been getting about to Owatonna the drying up. Looks like eventually it'll get here. Got Poppy fed now it's my turn to put on the feed bag.

Morning boys. 38 here and heading for high 40s. Wind is blowing hard out of the north here. So blowing across the big ice cube will keep it feeling cool here. Made the trip to little falls and it was worth the drive to the Reeds event. Probably spent to much money, but there were some pretty good deals. Got the grandson a Winchester super x 12 ga for his graduation in June. Now he will have his own. We didn't get home until almost midnight so slept in a bit this morning. Today we will try to reorganize the garage. Flip the winter and summer stuff. Have a good one boys.

Morning boys. 37 here and heading for 47 today. The wind seems to have died down. We got the Ranger out yesterday and took that for a little cruise in the evening. We took the wife's new 9 and the 22 I got back in March and shot those. That was fun. We officially shut the wood stove down. We will see for how long. Otherwise just getting ready for another day in the salt mines. Have a good one boys.
