So getting ready for another day in the salt mines and this happened. Went up stairs to do the morning paperwork and coming down the stairs and missed the bottom step. Ended up on the floor. Into the ER we went. Knee cap dislocated and completely torn ACL. Having surgery on Thursday I guess. Then to top it off as I'm on the floor yelling in pain. The cat went crazy and attacked us. Really got the wife bad. So we both ended up in the ER. What start to the day. Guess I might be out of work for a bit. Sucks.

Mornin guys, we had 46 @ 1st peek & we might hit 70 later. We no more than got the dock in yday & it started to mist, so we said later on the decking. Then we decided to make a trip to town, GR was busy. Drove right past Sis & BIL ~ a mile down the road & they never even seen us. Some leg adjustment & then getting the decking on the dock is priority # 1 today. 'Bout it here, hopin your Tuesday's a good day.

Major bummer jb. We gave most of our gimp equipment back the other day. Down to a knee scooter & a couple canes. Hope your surgery goes well & you're on your way to a speedy recovery, both of you!  :happy1:

Right. I am going to go stir crazy sitting not be able to do anything while the weather finally starts to warm up. I am hoping I can still hobble around at work on crutches.  But time will tell.

Darn JB.  I kind of felt bad doing a "like" to your post.  LOL  That sounds painful and a long process.  SO the cat evidently got scared with all of the noise and jumped you both..   Did you land on her?  I am glad you mentioned this. We can't be too careful now that we are early early middle aged.   How is the wife?  Did the cat scratch her or bite her?

I got the house vacuumed, cat fed, garden roughed up some, batteries on boat charging, gave Bucko his shots and swept out the wife's side of the garage, took a pic of new fishing license and saved it to "notes" on my phone.  Been a big day.  Off to the falls tomorrow to get my eyes checked.  It is a Sanford and my eye Dr. from Bemidji will be there to see me.  Will hit the Big M of course.

We had thunder south of us but no rain.  Sounds like a good chance of rain the next few days including Sat.

Had about 1/4 inch. The #4 said tomorrow will be the best chance of no rain through the weekend. Glad I didn't plan on fishing. :rotflmao:

No  the cat wasn't near me when I hit the floor. He just got scared from me yelling in pain and freaked out. He is a total indoor cat so he has no claws at all. So it was all biting. The wife really got it. Looked like a crime seen on the floor from her bleeding. Kinda crazy. The wife started screaming which freaked him out. So the more she screamed the more he would go after her.  Kinda crazy.  Ya, we just don't think of stupid little accidents like slipping off of the stairs being that bad.  Makes a person think a little.

Shoot the cat, keep the wife. Cats can't cook.

Get well soon.

Morning boys.  50 here and I am keeping a close eye on the cat.  LOL  We are headed to the Falls for that eye Dr. appt and hit Menards, grocery store etc.  Will put the dogs in their kennels for the first time this spring.  Cooper thinks it is fun until we close the gate.  Then he barks at us. LOL  The wife got them some new things to chew on so that will help.  I see chunks of ice coming downstream this morning.  ???  Will be interested to see if we can see where it is coming from on our way over.  Charged the boat batteries yesterday so that is about ready to drop in the river.  Maybe this afternoon hopefully.  Things are really greening up here.  About time for the lawn mowing hobby to start.  I actually enjoy it most of the time.  Later boys and good luck with your day JB.

Morning fellers. Sitting at the hospital waiting for mom. Damn was that educational. Long story short she has a heart murmur, well so do I. She is doing some test to check things out.  May need to have a valve replaced. Caused my calcium buildup.

Mornin' comrades! 56 at choretime heading for a high in the low 80's. Be a steamer with humidity. Rain missed us to the west last nite. That's OK, we're sitting good. To our east at Grand Meadow they could use some. They've been missed & are planting soybeans into dry soil. 50% chance here on the most recent forecast tonite. That means by the time I get the mower ready to go it should be raining. More substantial rain expected Friday into Saturday. Those cat bites are painful. Got bit by one of ours a few years ago. Cleaned the wound out good & put antibiotic in it routinely but man, it took a long time to heal. A customer got bit by a rabid cat down by Hartland several years ago. Had to undergo all those shots. Not fun.

Good to see you here again db!
