We take almost everything to Cohasset as we go to GR just about every week anyway. TV's, printers, computer monitors are free, appliances too but we usually drop them off at the salvage yard on the edge of town when we go by instead. As that's where they'll end up anyway. A lot of our scrap metal goes there too. There's a small shed with a big barrel for oil & a small 1 for filters as well, that's free. There's a big spot for tires, $2 for cars/$8 for truck & tractor. But the county has 1 day a year where they are free & I think they even pick them up too. They have 4-5 big roll-offs for all the different recycling too. WM sends their trucks from there to pick up the stuff from the dump up by glenn & there's another dump on a county road just this side of the casino too.

A couple years ago I tore down an old one car garage and an outhouse.  Itasca County uses punchcards that you buy to use when you go to one of the drop off sites, and I bought about four of them thinking I’d have a lot if C & D material to-get rid of over a couple weeks. Not all of the sites take everything, so I took the first load to one that did. When they told me it was free for that weekend, I kicked it into high gear and made four trips to make the whole thing go away on those two days.  I still have at least one whole punchcard I haven’t used up yet.

Good morning All.  32 and heading for 63 they say.  Yesterday I seen we have an open water spot right out front.  The Otter were playing in it yesterday for a bit.  We normally see them for about 2-3 days a year out here and then they are gone.   I tried to get a picture of them but by the time I went in and got my phone they were gone.    Spent part of the day yesterday putting ice gear away..it's over I'm done.  Spent the rest of the day working in the yard.  Was just nice to spend the day outside.    Have a great day ALL!!!.

Morning boys. 31 here and heading for 53 it says. I seen 47 yesterday. The fish house is sitting right down in front of the house next to shore. By the looks of the forecast I will be pulling it back out this coming weekend. It was so nice yesterday we went for a ranger ride in the evening. That was fun to do. Otherwise just getting ready for another day in the salt mines. Have a good one boys.

Normally, it's just recyclable plastic, tin cans, & glass about every 3-4 weeks or so that goes to the transfer station in Cohasset for us. We've got 4-5 of those punchcards here that are at least 5 y/o too & most haven't been used at all.

Morning boys.  It is 24 here and they say we will hit 63 here today.  I will believe that when I see it.  Coincidentally I am headed to the landfill today.   I have one chair in the Ol Ford plus other junk to get rid of.  One chair I put at the end of the driveway on Sat morn and it was still there when we headed to Big M on Sun morn.  On the way back I asked the wife if she wanted to be it was still there.  She jumped right on it and said she bets $5 that it will still be there.  It was gone so I won $5 and took her out to lunch at McDs.  LOL   I saw on a rear window there:  Don't do anything you will be afraid to tell a nurse what happened later.  LOL   Makes sense I guess.  You all have a good one.

Mornin gang, 25 here & lookin for 61 later. Didn't even get 1/2 way down the drive yday & we had 3 :deer: crossing the driveway. Seen 4-5 more along CR 35 on our way to the Bstore too. Told the store owner that & he was pretty surprised after what he'd heard & seen during the last rifle season. Kind of livin on the edge here too. ;)  Thinkin with the weather turning nice we might want to take the wheeler for a ride, so I dropped the blade off the wheeler yday. No more now, have a great day.

I did get the snowmobile put away the other day. Picked up some steel to modify an old charcoal grill. Once that's done I'll see if I can sell that. I should sell the 5', three point blade that I don't use too. Brand new, used once. Spring cleaning. The black and white monster is starting to listen a little better. Might put him on 30' lead and see if he can learn what "come here" means. He thinks it's just a big game when I have off a lead and he just runs around me. Clean garage and play with dog is the plan today. Later..... :happy1: :happy1:

Mornin' fellow gulag comrades! 36 at choretime heading for a high near 70. Had a fun day with company yesterday or I should say Poppy did. Kids had a blast playing with her. Must've worn her out because when they left, she took a long nap. Afterwards, we moved the ewes and lambs we'd vaxxed, tagged & docked after chores. One of those was a PITA about going to the other barn. Got a batch of lambs loaded this a.m. for the locker plant. Always one ornery one in the bunch that eludes us for a while but we prevailed. That's why we eat them.

Good morning All.   It is a comfortable 38 here at the home front this morning.  Hard to believe it is March and makes a person wonder if this is really spring or if Ma Nature is going to flex herself before this season is all done.  Yesterday I showed 66 for a bit with little to no wind.  Sure made it tough to spend the day in the shop but it was a productive one.    Have a great day All!!!

Mornin gents, 36 here & headed for 55, they're sayin. The wind has switched back WNW but only ~ 10, still will make it feel a bit cooler than it really is. Got all my stuff done early yday , so I'm not sure what's up today yet. I'm certain something will pop up. 'Bout it here, have a good day.

Morning boys.  28 here and headed to 52.  I saw mid 50's yesterday.  What a nice day.  Man is Jake a dirt ball.  The dogs come in and Cooper is nice and clean and Jake is dirt from the middle of his body and down.  Almost looks like a paint job.  He really has fun when he is out.  So now we have a hose in the basement by the sump pump.  That is Jakes hose now.  LOL  A little dark now but I can see a definite dark area on the river this morning.  Will update you when I can see better.  Have a good one.

Need to call vet here shortly to see what needs to be done on Thursday. Today I'll probably work on that grill some more, didn't feel like dragging the welder out yesterday afternoon. Parts are here for fifth wheel hitch mount so there's a trip to town today and another project to get done. Going to finish my coffee and find a breakfast snack, later..... :happy1: :happy1:

Mornin' fellow gulag comrades! 36 at choretime heading for a high in the upper 60's. Was an absolute bell ringer yesterday. Got too warm doing chores last night wearing a t-shirt under my hoodie. Critters drank a lot of water too. No newbies in the overnite. Still 8 to go. That's been the pattern this time around. A flurry of activity then nothing for a while. Not sure what weather last fall or other factors might be involved. Oh well, got copy to edit & proof yet. Also a haircut at 10:30 so better keep at it so Timmy can keep those taxpayer funded "free" tampons stocked in the boys bathrooms across the state... :coffee:

Could be something simple like an igniter or a gas valve Glenn. Good Lick
