Morning boys.  It is 57 and should see 75 today.  Chance of a thunderstorm in the area today.  Yes it has been great leaving the window open whilst sleeping.  Will work on my duct work project some today.  It will give me a register right by my desk.  It is a cold area of the room.  Will be nice on those cold winter days.  So the weather lady said that Sun Sept 1 is the meteorological first day of Fall.  There ya go.  Have a good one.

Mornin guys, 62 @ 1st glance for us & we should see 74. They were pretty spot on with yday's forecast as we never got above 82 & the humidity did drop (< 70%) in the afternoon. Got some rain overnight here too & it looks like ~ 3/4" in the gauge. I didn't see much for branches down so the wind must not have been too bad. Just had power go off & come right back on though. Mowed down at the road & along the drive late yday AM, might mow out front today too. No more now, have a great day.

Good morning All.  Liking this cool down this morning.  We got a shot of rain yesterday evening but everything else missed us up here.   Looks like its going to be a cool cloudy day today.  Might just spend some needed time on the yard for a while.

Camper was pulled home yesterday, now there's a mess in the garage that needs attention today. Pretty good light show and thunder about 3:00 this morning here. Not sure how much rain we got. Putting a new starter in the Cub today and sharpen blades before the weekend. We're headed to Hubbard Co. to cut grass, knock down six trees on day one and then go wheeling for a day. A friend asked me if he could buy my boat on Sunday. Very seriously considering it. Haven't used it this Summer and twice last year. Later...... :happy1: :happy1:

Good morning campers. Well, that was exciting. Didn't get the rain, high winds or sun I thought we were getting. That's OK. We did get up to 93° but our dew point was 86°. Quite uncomfey. I was more concerned about the girls. The hens.
Not sure what's on the agenda for today. Right now, it's coffee time.
      Stay safe everyone.

So TT was the electrolytes in the water to help them take the heat?  Are these for eggs?

Mornin' fellow gulag comrades! 68 at choretime heading for a high in the low 80's. .03" of rain at the ranch & in Bugtussle proper. Supposed to be out of here by 11 so it's going to have to work at it if we're going to get the tenth they had advertised. Sounds like the State Fair is closed until further notice due to heavy weather there last nite. Nothing out of the ordinary on tap for today. Finish copy & after it's done raining, pull the rootworm beetle traps for the last time this season. The wet weather has had a negative impact on rootworm survival. Apparently the eggs and/or larvae don't do well in soils that repeatedly remain saturated for lengthy periods of time. Neither do the crops however so it's sort of an expensive control method.

I see that per my X feed. I think the second rotation should all be in the sheep barn by now. Dorset show this afternoon I think.

It is. I was told by a seasoned chicken rancher (No. Really. Chickens.) to think of it as Gatorade for them. They went through lots of it Monday.

Glenn, we pay for two months at the campground starting the week before the Fourth so we have to be out before Labor Day. I'm good with this, eight weekends in row is enough camping for me. Besides we are headed to Albany camping for the thrashing show in two weeks so it will get used more before I put it away. I stopped at FF yesterday to get a jug of Roundup. They have a "pail sale" going on where it's 15% 0ff what is in the pail. I got my Roundup plus another $140.00 worth of other things in the pail too. Oh well, camper got squared away yesterday, garage projects today and tomorrow. Later......  :happy1: :happy1:

Mornin all, we had 62 when I looked earlier & we might see 71 later. Worked on where they trenched in the power to the new shed a little yday to start. Then gave the old mower some TLC. Did get the rest of my mowing done yday afternoon too. We're headed to town today as well. 'Bout it here, have a good day.

Morning boys.  We have 58, cloudy and a little breeze.  Could see thunderstorms tonight. Looks like a good chance of that too.  We are going to stay in our camper this weekend.  I hope they spray for squitos as they haven't done it in a while. We are gonna need to mow here soon too.  Maybe I will do some today.  JB so what did you call that body job on your truck?  You all have a good one.

LPS......we find having the grass cut short at the cabin very benificial to skeeter control.!!!!!! we also use the mouthwash recipe or skeeter beater if neccesary!!!

Mlark......sounds like a plan.....just not have heard of 2 months rental lots at campgrounds...... either weekend stuff of seasonal......if it works..........great!!!!! :happy1:

Mornin' fellow gulag comrades! 65 at choretime heading for a high in the upper 70's. A little dab of precip atho it's hard to tell how much of it was rain or heavy dew. Measured at .01" at the ranch & Bugtussle. Another day of turmoil in the soybean fields. Someone must not have received the memo that synthetic pyrethroid insecticides are no longer effective against soybean aphids. Now we're past the point where spraying for them will result in an economic yield benefit. Farmers are their own worst enemies sometimes & applicators/dealers aren't much better. By spraying a synthetic pyrethroid, it takes the beneficial insects out of the picture temporarily so that the soybean aphids that weren't controlled have carte blanche to feed & reproduce rapidly. I know the pyrethroids are cheap & the intent was to kill the aphids but we knew already 5 or 6 years ago they weren't working after seeing it firsthand and respraying in a timely fashion.

Well, I picked it up after work. So the PDR didn't go like they hoped. The paint cracked when he started to work the dent. So they ended up working the dent out. Then Craig had to repair the tailgate. It looks great. And at least this way there is no bondo on it.

Not sure what is going to happen around here today. Weather is pretty ??????? right now. I do have to go to town to put insurance on the golf cart along with getting gas, beer and ice  for the weekend and probably something else I can't think at the moment. I'd like to get four new tie-downs welded on the tandem trailer today before putting the Cub and SxS on it. We are registered for a charity trap shoot tonight too. It does look like this rain system may be out here by then. Later......... :happy1: :happy1:

Morning boys. 62 here and heading for 69 it says. According to the radar the rain nis on our door step. Sure looks like we will be getting wet this morning. The grass could use a good shot of rain. Cut the grass last night. So it is ready for some rain. Otherwise just getting ready for another day in the salt mines. Have a good one boys.

Mornin boys, 62 @ 1st peek here & we should end up about 72. Pretty breezy here already though. Had to of went by a dozen boats on Mn 46 before we hit Hwy 2 yday about 8:00. Not many had covers so I thought they probably were locals heading for Mosomo Pt on Cutfoot/Winnie, but that lot was almost empty when we came home around noon. A little on the quiet side in town yday. Thought with the holiday coming it would be busier. No big projects here, so I'll just see what jumps out at me when start moving. Have a good day.

Morning boys.  Raining here and may see a high of 73.  Here is our weather report.  Rain this morning some may be heavy.  This afternoon may see thunderstorms followed by thunderstorms.  LOL  So we may have a thunderstorm.  We have lightning and thunder now.  Glad I got the lawn mowed around the house yesterday.  Didn't get the boulevard by the hwy done but no big deal.  The wifey has a Dental appt this morning in Warroad so I will ride along and we will go out to eat after that.  Not sure where.  They had a great cafe by the lake that had good food but the tribe tried to make it a bait shop that I don't even think is open anymore.  So you have to go to the casino to eat.  We did that once and won't be going back.  Will find something in town or mayhaps Dairy Queen as last resort.  Man it is dark here now. Have a good one.

You could check out Joe's Place on lake Street. I think they are still open. Had great breakfast when I went there. Believe all they do is breakfast and lunch.

Mornin' fellow gulag comrades! 68 at choretime heading for a high in the mid-80's. A surprise thundershower a little after 5 this a.m. .16" at the ranch & .5" in Bugtussle. Poppy woke me up just before 5 to go outside so I did that and went back to bed. About 5 minutes later I heard thunder. WTH? Looked at the radar and sure enough, little red blobs heading our way. Didn't hurt anything but will keep the grass wet for a while. Need to mow if possible, maybe after lunch. Think that's part of the mosquito issue right now. They were nasty last nite when I was picking string beans, cukes, zucchini & sweet corn. I finally gave in and slathered myself with repellent. Otherwise it would've been dang near impossible.

Good morning campers. Got the yard mowed yesterday. Didn't do any damage to the mower, either. I usually have to raise the mower deck a bit when I mow the ditches. They're a long a state highway.
Looks like I'll be slicing up some habaneros today to get pickled. They say the peppers should be used within three months. A big jar won't even last two weeks.
May be some tornadoes here this evening. Not looking forward to that.
      Stay safe everyone.
