Mornin' fellow gulag comrades! -9 for an overnight low, same at choretime, heading for a high in the mid-single digits. .6" of snow melted out to .06" of liquid equivalent precip at the ranch, with .5" & .05" in Bugtussle. Been a 3-ring circus the past 24 hrs. Got my skidsteer back yesterday afternoon after finding out the load of corn would be here ~10 a.m. Did chores, nothing overnite, did chores this a.m., no newbies. Went inside to warm up, came back out to fish the wagon out of the shed and some dumb ewe had crapped out a set of twins by the round bale feeder! Wife took off for work about that time so I was not a happy camper. Got them in the barn, penned 'em up, put a heat lamp on them and colostrum substitute in both. Their ears got froze so thawed them out the best I could. Ewe only milks on one side. She shoulda been outta here a year ago so now debating on whether one of the lambs will live inside for a while. More fun than a person should be allowed to have.

You always get all the cold weather fun! Did that ewe have mastitis on the bad side last year?

Not sure if she did or not roony. Looking back at last year's records I see "cull" is written by her tag no. so can only guess that's what the deal might've been. Sometimes it's not mastitis on ewes, it's hard bag or the bag can be infected by sore mouth & the nipples can be scarred shut  Her lambs have come around since I played Mr. Mom with them. Still waiting on the feed truck & I have another bottle lamb to feed at noon so will see what they're up to then. On the bright side, there should another Lotzza Motzza out there for glenn!  :happy1:

You'll like the new toy markn. The neighbor's have a Cat skidsteer with tracks on it. Must be a good machine cuz they beat the ever living snot out of it.

I thinks this one has been taken care of. Can’t wait til Friday when it gets dropped off. Still undecided on the Harley, think I’ll pull the carb apart and see if there’s any major malfunction in it before I decide to scrap it. Stopped by the Goodwill store and got me a “new” jacket. The other one appears to have a sleeve burnt off from a plasma cutter.  :happy1: :happy1:

Hey Roony or Dotch. I see you guys mention Albert Lea in occasion. He only had 1 arm. Hellofa nice guy too!

Ever heard the name Dirk Devries by chance, he used to work for an artic cat dealership down there.

Thought I'd ask, he's up by the cabin nowadays and does occasional work on ATV's, snowmobiles and such. He also runs the groomer, drives bus and does lawn care.

Morning boys. -13 here to start the day and making a high of 1 below today it says. Well, if the get together is in Inger. We could take a field trip to Togo also and get the full experience.  ;) :rotflmao:. All I did last night was some house cleaning. Tonight will be firewood into the shed night. Otherwise just getting ready for another day in the salt mines. Have a good one boys.
