That cylinder rain gauge is what I got for free from the local water district, seki disk and measuring tape  and steral testing jars came with it when I went through a class to be a water tester for the lake we live on.
Its accureate and I dont have the bird poop just alga problems in the inside tube.
Today is a bummer for me and my sister,Bro and families. My Dad died yesterday he would have been 100 yrs old Aug 25th.We knew it was near and he was in Hospis care.
Fri I get CT results and Dotch I had many surgeries but this one was in 2011 they removed 2 disks in my neck. That healed an fused great then to finish the procedure 3 more disks removed in 2014.I got a pic Xray of my neck when I first saw it I thought WOW!! even a xray tech said she saw people with hardware but never this much in a neck.I had to have it done I was told it had to happen back in 2000 or I would be a quadraplegic.
Looking from back to front a plate in front of my spine and then 2 bars in the rear 16 screws

Well, another cool, gray, windy morning here on Vermilion.   Looking more like no summer this year.

Dew, hope it all works out.  That spine stuff is hard to deal with for sure.

So sorry about your Dad Dew.  Too bad he didn't make the 100 mark.  My grandpa just made it to the 100 mark and then died.  We all think it was a goal of his.  Think of the things your Dad saw change in his life.  Unreal!!!

And what a neck shot.  With all of that iron in you you are going up in value....  Good luck with all of that.

My condolences on your Dad dew. You've been through some rough soap lately. Anytime you start having back/spinal issues that sucks, let alone surgical procedures that have to be repeated. Wish you the best of luck.

Ya Dew how cool that your Dad worked on those projects.  Sort of a monument to him.  If I ever go there I will think of him.
I have to work tomorrow so maybe I will bolt out of there a little early today.  Maybe get some mowing done so I have more time to work on the new deer blind that will be by the new food plot....   ;)  :happy1:  I think the wife will enjoy sitting with me sometimes so I call all of this stuff "hers"   ;) everytime I spend more money on the project.  She smiles and knows I am just buttering her up.

Also I put the Ol' Crestliner up for sale in the local Swap and Shop just in case I like this boat we are going to look at.  I haven't used it in a couple of years so why keep it around.  Good boat for someone else to play with.  I will then sell the Lund also and be down to one boat.  Of course still have the 14' so technically 2 boats..

Looks like a great day today so enjoy it all.  Hope the high water isn't hurting any of you...

Sorry to hear about your Dad Dew. Glad it is Friday. Tomorrow I am going to go help a buddy pour cement. He is going to build a new house, so we are pouring the foundation tomorrow. After that I will head home and get the wifey to go in search of blueberries. Hopefully on Sunday we can work on getting our patio formed up so we can pour concrete soon. Cookie I have not personally been out yet, but people I talk to at work here in Warroad say it is pretty good all over. Blueberry hill is hopping and from what I hear where the big fire went thru last spring is crazy good. I am going to start looking south of Williams myself. I discovered a monster patch a couple years back where I had put 1 of my bear baits. That will be the first stop. I call that bait site blueberry bait. have a good day all.
Hey look your bobber is up!

Yes on the Friday.  At golf last night I shot a 50 in 9 holes and wanted to throw every club in the drink.  Then on the last hole I sunk a 40 ft put for a birdie.....clubs survived another day.  I have a wedding to go to this weekend with not much else going on.  Hope everyone has a good weekend. :happy1:  HD have fun playing farmer.

Oh boy, General, a wedding! Gee can I go? Seriously, a few of them are OK when they're family, etc., etc. However, we keep getting all these invites and the worst part is since the wife decorates for a lot of them, I get roped into helping. Ish!!!! Unless I can think up some really good lame excuses which don't always work, I'm stuck.  :banghead: Oh well, a weekend of diddling around at a couple car shows on tap then spending Sunday evening tooling around Lake Francis on some friend's pontoon is on tap for this one. Let the good times roll! Have a great weekend! :happy1:

Nice day today.  Mowed part of the lawn last night after work and hope to finish it today.  As I was mowing I realized the tires were dry.  That may be the first time this year that they were dry while I was mowing.  I have heard some good fishing reports lately.  I have to get all of  my chores done so I can sit in the boat for a few hours.  Some rain maybe tomorrow.  I may have to get out the rain gear for awhile....

Ya morning from here too.  It is a rainy Sunday here.  SO I can't mow.  :happy1: We are going to I Falls to look at a boat and then Menards to get me some plywood for my new deer stand.  I did go fishing for awhile last night.  Only out for about 1 1/2 hours but felt great.  Man there is so much current from all  of the rain that has been flowing in that I used a 1 oz jig to get to the bottom.  I did have a couple of bites that may have been little saugers and then caught a 3 lb northern.  That was fun.  He even jumped.  lol   While I was out a big sturgeon jumped in front of the boat.  Sounded like one of the dogs fell in the river.  Buddy was all curious about what the heck was that.  Sammy just looks at me and keeps on napping..

Well talk to ya all later.

It was a long night at the wedding and a bunch of fun.  Did a little weeding in the garden and got a call from the neighbor to come swimming and lounge at the pool.  So we'll be heading over there in a bit and that should put a dent in Sunday.  Back to work tomorrow.

Hope you didn't get too sunburned around the speedo yesterday by the pool General.   :rotflmao:  Well boys it is my 62nd Birthday today.  SO I could actually start drawing out my Social Security....   lol  I won't though.  Think I will wait till 65.  Tempted to retire at 64 but will decide that in the future.  At that time working 1 more year may not seem to bad.  What will I do with all that spare time?????    :rotflmao: :rocker;

Well I bought plywood to build my deer stand to put by my first attempt at a food plot.  Still only 1 doe at the mineral block that I put in my spruce grove by the food plot.  I have been buying one of those that has corn and stuff in it.  $17 and it only lasts about 2 weeks.  Now crows, squirrels, and a big coon are also eating it.  I may have to get one of those mineral rocks so it will last longer.  Hope it still draws critters to it.  The previous regular old mineral block did work pretty good.

Well trying to decide if I should take the day off and putz with the deer blind on the birthday today.  Sounds like a good plan to me.  See ya all later.

Well happy B-Day LPS :happy1: you deserve the day off to get into trouble.  No worries about the sunburne......I don't shave the bikini area ;)

Off to work here in a few.  I had a new sprayer custom built and the guy said it was ready to be picked up so I told him I'd be there tonight.  So I'll probably hit the yard with it to see how it works.

Barry. I use the brown mineral block from a feed store, I smash it in half cause the weigh 50 lbs and make 2 sites, I also take the small chunks and about 3 gallons of water and let those chunks soak and desolve for a day or 2, then I prep a site where the deer travel and take up and large area say 4 ft across, andput the bigger block in the center the after I create a small depression, the dump in the remain mixture, I also use the powederd deer cocain brand, and a small block of that. Ive had great success with that combo.

I put two more pork loins in the brine last night. got aneighbor that will pay anything for the c bacon. gonna prep for the weekend, supoose to be warm all week, then were heading to cookies again!

Your mineral stations sound just like mine.  I normally use block salt but got a number of
bags free this year.  Not corn or food at my stations as this can be considered baiting.
I'm going to start this years food plots today.  I know it's late but that's the way it goes.
