Morning all, hope your days is a better one HD. I'm done with weekends for the season, Yippie. still will have some longs days from time to time but at least Ill have some summer, which I hate so we might as well go right into October.  today is sunny and warm.  gota do some shopping and going out to a movie with my son. wife is busting her tail at her partime job, sometime we wonder if its worth it, but that dang RN wage is hard to put down. had some tough glitches at work, the gps on the sprayer had been way of on calibration, and some farmer have come in complaining of skips in the field. glad I haven't been in the sprayer yet. I like the air spreadrs better. got no clue when I can get out fishing. trying o figure out what to smoke next , looking at a bear roast. Have a great day gents!!

Yup good morning.  That sounds like a fun day Boar.  Have fun with Nick.  Say hi from me too.  I have lots of stuff to do too.  I got a new horse to be a pasture mate with Bucko.  He is an older gray horse named Jiggs.  He will think he died and went to heaven here.  Bug spray, sweet feed, etc.  Sort of a retirement home for him.  lol  Jiggs and Bucko seem pretty content in the pasture.  We don't ride much but do brush and fiddle with the horses a lot so he should like that.  He is really a nice and calm horse so maybe I can get the wife to ride him.

I too haven't been fishing for awhile.  I pumped the water out of the boat after work yesterday so thought what the heck and took Sammy and Buddy for a boat ride.  Felt great just to be on the water.  Today I may mow the pasture.  With all of the rain it is starting to look like a jungle out there.  Then we want to trim the suckers off the bottom of the maple trees.  Anyone know how to prevent them from coming out of the trunk right at the ground level?  They are a pain.

We might have a fire too.  The wife likes that and so do I.  Well see ya all later.  Have a great day.  Here is a pic of the wife and Jiggs with Bucko looking on..

Good morning.  I just clicked the pic and it was fine and larger.  Kind of wish the pics t hat folks post here were a tad larger.  Maybe it's our end?  Got a lot of catch up to do around the house.  Nothing new though.  Seems like I'm always behind.  My garage is a mess.  Most of the stuff is from the kids for "temporary" storage.  Some of the stuff has been in there temporarily for years.  Hopefully we can do a garage sale this fall.  Man I sure miss being up north.  I have always missed it since I moved from Duluth in the early 70's because of lack of jobs at the time.  Just came back from 3 years in the Army and it was hard to find a job.  Steel Plant closed and that was a major employer along with other places.  Maybe next week I'll head up for a days fishing.  I have to have birch and pine trees around me to feel comfortable.  good luck.

This come from LL, he showed me how to do pic from the fone so they are not upside down or sideways.

1. take picture
2. its automatically save to ur phone. go to your gallerie.
3. click on the pic you want to up load.
4. when enlarges on your fonedown on the bottom you will have some options.
         adjust       share        edit       delete.

at the top of the picture you have a back arrow a star and the word More. if you click on more it will tell you what size your picture is it gives you indepth detail of the picture. and I will explain more on "more" later.
5. hit the edit button.
then on the bottom of the picture will appear these words
adjust     tone    effect    drawing    add image........ then select "adjust"
up pops a grid around the picture, this grid allows you to take your finger and basically crop it down in size, I usually crop where I have the most back ground in the picture I don't care about. " a little in from the left, a little in front the right, maybe a little down from the top
6. then at the top of the pic youl  have "Cancel      "Apply"  hit apply this start the save mode.
7. up will pop.    undo.....redo.....save. .......select save. now this picture is saved to my gallerie to post. I then hit my back button and erase original pic so not to get confused on which one to post cause their the same but slightly different.
8 then when on the forum hit attachments and options a then browse. then documents, which will take you to you gallerie icon, clikc that and selct your pic, then hit post. it will take longer than on a PC so I put it down and go do something for a minuet. some pics take longer than others, and I generally don't do more than 1 pic at a time to much data for the phone to process.
9. the more button has more windows, rotate left.... rotate right. ive tried these but it dosent work.  hit details and it gives you infor on the pic, it tells me date taken, and properties, the size of the pic and what format its in. if it says jpeg, our forum wont accept jpeg, so ya go thru the process I just laid out. same when you get a picture message, its in jpeg format and will need to be adjusted. hope this helps.

Ive had a bear roast on on the rub for 24 hours, gonna put it on the smoke for about six then crock pot it. cant wait, forgot the sweet potatoes. bought a new quiver yeaterday for my bow, original one didn't hold the Easton axis arrow I shoot, bought the FUSE quiver, just need a spacer to pull it away from my string suppressor. today I'm gonna get organized for the hunting season. got thing here and there. hate that. Have a great day guys!

Sounds like a good way to spend a Sunday Boar.  Yesterday I mowed the pasture with the 1951 WD.  I keep thinking of getting something newer but it works great so kind of like the ol girl.  Pasture looks great too.  Going to finish up some mowing today and start mowing the yard.  Never ends.  Looks like a nice day with a nice breeze.  That will feel good.  Pretty still here yesterday and it got pretty hot.  Well off on a little wheeler ride first.  See ya later.  May do some ribs again today.  Sundays have turned into ribs day I guess......

LPS or the picture? (upright)  ;)

Just got back from town for our annual grocery trip. Got some chops fur the grill tonight, and some drumsticks fur tomorrow. Tuesday will be a venison neck roast, with salad from the garden. Talked her into getting stuff to make Ruben samiches fur Wednesday and ribs fur Thursday. Friday is usually burger night. So I guess we have the week planned. Prolly do some zucchini on the grill, cause we got a few ready.
While Mama is in the house cleaning, I'll be out in the barn working on the boat getting it ready for the Canada trip...that's about it for today.

Have a good day boys!

In recovery mode from Farm and City Days. Had the Stude out at the car show and then took Mrs. Cheviot on a short drive to a restaurant afterwards since the car was dirty. Got .93" of rain this a.m. which was a surprise. Well, not really because we have hay down. The forecast on Friday looked like a "go" so I gave the word to the guy cutting it. Oh well, not my first rodeo when it comes to putting up hay and unfortunately probably not my last. I do like having access to a source of top shelf lamb that I can control and baling hay is one of the prices to pay. Speaking of that, best get out some to thaw for supper and continue chores inside the house. Looks like one more shot of rain approaching from the MN River valley then maybe can do something outside after that. Where to begin though...

Morning.  Ya it's dark here in Andover as well.  Big system moving through.  Still working in the garage today.  Seems like all I do is keep moving stuff around and then a year later moving it around again.  Garage sale or big dumpster for sure this fall.  Thought I would go fishing tomorrow but I have found that fish are not that active after a big storm.  Maybe it's just me but It just seems that way to me after many try's after a storm.  Always stuff to do at home.  good luck.

Morning from here too.  We had lots of thunder this morning and some rain but not a lot.  The mosquitoes are as bad as I have ever seen.  Just thick, even hard to inhale  without taking one in.  They are the worst part of summer.  Lots of deer in the fields this morning.  I suppose the bugs chased them out of the woods.  Man I can't wait for fall and Viking season and hunting season.  With no mosquitos.....

Later all.

Good Monday all. We had 1.90" of rain early Sunday and quite a light show. It's raining again with an at least an inch from 3:00 am today til now and still raining. Shot trap Saturday at the Minn. State Singles Champ. in Alex. Should've stayed home looking at my scores. Had fun with the guys I shot with and that's what counts. Well at work this morning at 2:30 doing some things that can't be done during normal hours. Quitting time today is looking like about 11:00. Have a great day.....

Hi all. Another wonderful day at work. We have definitely been in a wet pattern lately. Would be nice if it would dry up some so we could get to working on food plots. Right now I think it would be tuff going. Oh well. Have a good day all.

Morning all, no golfing, fishing or grilling over the weekend, I put a new roof on the house and shed. I have about 30 muscles hurting right now that I didn't even knew I had so it was real tough being at the shop this morning at 4:00 to let the milk man in. Today is cutting the grass and weed whacking that I put off doing the roof and to make it even worse its going to be 90 degrees humid and not a cloud in the sky. I just keep telling myself 2 more months and I'll be up to vermilion fishing for the week. Well enough whining from me, y'all have a good day
if you kick me when I'm down you better pray I don't get up.

Dodged another bullet this morning. Had looked at my hay that was cut Friday last night after it received almost an inch of rain in the a.m. It hadn't dried a lick underneath. When I flipped the windrow over it looked like it had just been cut, barely even wilted yet. Neighbor who cut it called and was wondering if we could work a trade. He's going to rake and chop his (also cut Friday) then blow it in the silo this afternoon. Since there's no way mine will get dry enough to bale today and with potential heavy rain being forecast tonight, he was wondering if we should chop mine and work a trade back on some small squares off his other piece that's still standing. Would be a good deal to get the windrows off the fields one way or the other as the third crop underneath is already marching along. Also be nice to harvest the hay so someone can utilize it while it still has some nutritional value. Sounds like a win-win deal to me. Gets me out of baling hay for a while anyway. I love it when a plan comes together.  :happy1:

About a half hour ago it really got ugly in Big Lake.  Wife and I went downstairs to wait it out.  Couldn't see 10 feet out the window.  It's fine now.

Aw Yes good morning to all. Just plugging away here on the shores of upper red lake. The wife and I headed down to clear lake north of milacs Saturday morning. Spent the day swimming and doing some ribs on the grill. They were good but still have to per fect them as I over cooked them a bit on the grill. We had no fishermen for the weekend soo it was a good time to get out of town. From what I here the fishing is still real good. I hope to get out some time in the next few days for a first hand report.  Got the new radiator in the beater after plowing that deer so the sweetie is happy I'm not driving her car to work. Got in 9 holes of golf after work yesterday which was sweet. Plenty of projects to do around here .Got some new boards for the dock on the river, plenty of mowing and weed whipping, change the oil on the small boat motor and put in new plugs. Mow the ball fields if its not to wet. Also have a neighbors cabin that needs mowing and weed whipping. Still no fishermen staying in the cabins the rest of the summer ? No takers on my play and stay package deal . Looks like white caps on the lake today so the access will be quiet. Have a great day and take it easy

Man Cookie that is a great deal.  Surprised noone has taken you up on it yet.  We only had 1/4" of rain here so got lucky.  Looked at the food plot Sunday and I can see the little plants just peking through.  Wondering if I put it on thick enough. Will wait and see.  I have some seed left so can always seed some more I guess.  Have had a doe and twin fawns running around in the pasture since I mowed it.  Maybe less bugs since the forest has been cut down out there.  It was pretty long.

Just saw something interesting on Wcco a few minutes ago.  A food guy was the guest today that makes hot dogs in Chicago.  He doesn't use nitrates anymore when making and smoking hot dogs.  He uses celery juice instead.  ???  Do you know anything about that RH?  All natural.

Well off to work.  Update the wife just called and the doe jumped in front of her in the driveway and ran into our spruce grove.  Lots of activity.  I hope the buck I have seen hangs aroung till crossbow season.....
