Good morning!! I was sidetracked while puttering and flitting about the kitchen; I've been up for a few hours. Trying to come up with a totally new recipe to whip up for tonite...it's a cool 42* outside today.  I whipped up a dish last winter using with hamburger, peppers, and Bush's Sweet Heat beans; a limited time thing. They no longer make them. I thought they were great. I grabbed the last three cans on the shelf when they had them; looking at them last nite, exp date says "March 2016"...canned beans?!  They should be good for just about forever. Guess I'll find out, I'm gonna use them tonite. If they aren't good, I imagine I'll know...iI'll get hit with the
collywobbles, todays word for the day.  Barry's still lazing about, I bet.

col·ly·wob·bles
ˈkälēˌwäb(ə)lz/
noun
stomach pain or queasiness.
"an attack of collywobbles"
intense anxiety or nervousness, especially with stomach queasiness.

Can you use the word in a sentence, children? Have a great day, guys!!   ;D
"such organizations give him the collywobbles"

Matter of fact I got a sudden case of the collywobbles last night. Was walking out to feed the sheep at the kindly neighbor's. The ewes followed as they wanted their corn. About that time I saw the ram go back inside the barn. New ram but so far has been a cupcake to deal with. Thought suddenly ran through my mind, "he's not going to"....then Bam!!!!! Oh yes the %*#*@ is! Hit my left cheek hard and I flew about 4'. Somehow stayed on my feet. My ass hurt but he hit hard enough so the collision popped my neck and left shoulder so it hurt from there down to my elbow. Limped over, dumped the pail of corn and he left me alone. To calm my collywobbles, needed a couple stiff GT's when I got home. Used the good stuff not the rail gin too. Sore today but I will be carrying a weapon when I go there tonight. Have equipment designed for just such occasions. Tune him up a bit if he insists on being a jerk.

Good one Rebs.  AND this is no joke.  I bought some jalapeno cheese brats last Saturday.  Had them the other night with Hormel Chili on them.  Tasted great but I got a bad case of the Collywobbles.  The next morning I had, I mean a hit the floor running case.  Had 3 sprints that morning.  Now I have used collywobbles for the first time.  Thank you sir.

Tgif tomorrow fellas.

This work week can't end soon enough.  Dotch if the ram did that to me I would have punched it so hard he would have gotten the collywobbles for the next week.  I'm sure the misses will rub out the sore arse. ;)

Morning boys.  I just poured myself another cup of colombian with the usual "jag" of honey in it.  Now I think I have a word that will do.  How about "uncanny". Uncanny= strange and mysterious  especially in an unsettling way.   It is uncanny that so many of us had collywobbles the last few days.   ;D Maybe it is the moonphases that caused it?  Yes TGIF.  We are going for a ride to Bemidji tomorrow.  The injection molder we use has a bunch of parts done for us so will be a fun little trip down there for us.  Maybe stop for a bite to eat while we are there.  By the way here is a plug for them  Digital Designs.  A father and son team and real good guys if you ever need any molding or assembly work done.  They have a website you can check out too.    Now some book club news Rebs.  I started a new book last night on my kindle.  "Most Likely to Die".  Sounds kind of morbid but it isn't.  It is book 6 in the Dan Coast series.  He is a PI sort of.  Does not try to get work but it just shows up.  Him and his bar owning friend Red get into all kinds of scrapes.  And Dan loves his tequila sevens with a slice of lime.  Have never had one but he makes me think about it.  I have overdone tekillya a few times years ago and still get collywobbles thinking about it.....   Fun series of books if you are looking.  Florida is the location.   So there....

Good morning to all. Tried  a update last Monday and it did not post so we will try it again. Hit the golf course last Saturday with my buddy wayne. Probably last time out for the season, except the weather looks kinda nice this coming weekend so who knows maybe get out one more time. Started my to do list  and it quickly grew to two pages. Zoiks? That's what I get for golfing  so much this summer. Wayne and I did get out for some of that fantastic fall fishing everyone talks about, lets just say I cooked hamburgers for dinner sunday eve. I'm not throwing in the towel yet and will be giving it a shot  tomorrow one more time. Set on deer stand two nights in a row with the recurve no deer and no grouse. I may hunt during gun but have not decided yet. Our youngest son moved to Detroit last year and there moving back to Minnesota  so that's some great news. Have to junk out the wife 2000 bravado and not happy about that. They will come get it for 100 bucks. They will sell the new rotors and radiator and get there money back but they just say scrap is 25 a ton? ya whatever. The honey bunny is so sick of this election. I have never been more intrigued. I think there's a lot of people that are voting for Donald but not saying? Was looking forward of watching the bassmaster elite show last sunday and was way disappointed.
I had watched the live show and it was very entertaining. Been following milacs all year and what a mess they have on there hands.

Heading up to deer camp today to check on things.  Chile dogs, polish and burger are on the menu.  So are adult beverages.  Sent my absentee ballot today as well [Trump all the way].  Can't wait to sit around the fire with the guy's.  Tell some lies about last years hunt, and some true tales.  Hope to see some northern lights also.  Have to check for signs from deer and check on our stands.  See you guy's on Sunday.  Have a great weekend.  good luck.

Morning boys!Planning to hit the stand after work today myself. Planning to get out in the stand a bit this weekend. Think we may pull the dock and rail system out tomorrow. looks like the wind is supposed to be down so we might as well get it down. I would like to get out fishing some more, but don't see that happening. Have a good day all.

Ya HD I know scrap metal is down. The problem I have  is I have been fixing my own cars my whole life and have bought many junk yard parts over the years. They will sell the rotors and radiator and get there money back. I know cookie maybe you should have your own junk yard. Just have to whine about it as its always bothers me. So what if I pull the tail lights, radiator, alternator, starter, headlites and any thing else are they still going to give me a hundred?

'mornin'! Just another day in paradise. Came to an understanding with the ram last night. Located the trusty little bur oak bat a friend once made me for just such occasions. Gave the ram a little rap on the melon just to get his attention and let him know I meant business. Made sure I kept him in front of me and made eye contact as I was feeding so no problem. Don't think he's really mean like some we've had; just a cheap shot artist like all rams are. Got a load of small square corn stalk bales to toss off before noon then on to soil sampling. The weekend looks like a free for all. :happy1:

Well, it isn't morning.  Think of it as getting a head start.
Anyway had a nice buck and a smaller forkhorn sucking seeds out of my feeders tonight.  Big one was 4 on each side.  Might have been the one that was a forkhorn last year.  He had a small buck with him.  The two does and their fawns were through earlier in the evening.

That is the first I've seen that buck.  Must be the rut starting.

Tried to get a picture with the wife's iphone.  No luck.
