Ya, Thunder I would love to see that myself since I voted for Trump.  Drain that Swamp!!!!  I'm getting stuff I need for Swedish sausage today so I should be making it tomorrow.  After stuffing I will blanch them in 170 degree water.  My daughters are bugging me for this so I'ts going to be done.  Only 10 pounds, but I know i'll have to make more.  I have more seasonings coming so going to make some apple brats, old fashion dogs, ring bologna and polish.  Got my smoker together and it should be good to start smoking with the nice weather this week.  good luck.

That would be a cool trip Thunderlund. Hoping things start to turn around as a result of this election for all of us, not just for a few. Keep us posted on your progress RH. Now that it's warmed up the nudist colony will be out foraging for food!  Doing some extrapolating back, we may not have more lambs until the end of the month. That should give it time to get nice and cold. Man that guy really got whacked HD. A lot of people think sheep are docile until they get hit by a ram. They are cheap shot artists. This time of year is especially bad with it being icy and cold. More than one guy has frozen to death after getting his hip broken and becoming unable to get back to the house.

I'm guessing RH might have a good sausage recipe or two for just such occasions. Otherwise a stinky old ram like that would be pretty strong. Son of a biscuit has it ever gotten icy here in the last little bit. Went to the outside box at the post office and to go 30' on foot was an adventure. Usually walk to the bank but punted and drove thru the drive up. Never know, might be a mean ram lurking somewhere...

Got home this afternoon and it wasn't bad.  Just looked out after supper and the driveway and street are just glistening.   Looks darn slippery out there.   Glad I don't need to go anywhere tonight.

And when you talk about the stinky old ram, it reminds me of the story of my dad, my uncle, the billy goat, and my dad's hunting buddy.   

I might have already posted this story but whatever.    My uncle farmed the "home place" up on the other side of Ladysmith Wisconsin.  Trust the bohunks and hunyocks  and polocks etc to get the crummy farm land, eh?   

Anyway he liked to drink goat's milk because he thought it was better for you than cow's milk which they sent to the local cheese factory.   So they had some goats.  And they had a billy goat to do what was necessary to get milk from the lady goats.   

The billy goat in question was a few years old and getting sort of grumpy so he had to go.   So my dad and my uncle took the 25/35 out to where he was tied up, and did what needed to be done.  About 10 times before he would stay laying down.   

My dad cut a nice roast off said billy goat and took it back home to st paul.   He gave it to his hunting buddy and told him it was bear meat.   

Buddy and  buddy's wife cooked it and cooked it and the longer they cooked it the tougher it got.    I think they finally tried to eat it and could still hardly chew it after hours and hours of cooking.   I don't think it smelled real good either.   

We laughed and laughed about that.

Well, Borgie and I received my prize in da mail from Boar for the largest walleye caught in da 2016 open water fishin challenge. It was a nice package of Boars homemade sausage sticks. I'll tell ya what it was so tasty I'd rate it at a 9.9 out of 10. I actually should have rated it as a 10 but, I didn't want it to go to Boar's head. Borgie stated she wanted to take some to da bingo da next day to share some. I immediately put da kibosh on dat and she asked why?

"I told her because..... "It's my sausage.....and I'll ......If I want to.....sigh if I want to.....You would .too...... if it happened to you!"

Morning all.  Well back to the grind today.  At least the warm up starts.  Only caught 1 walleye yesterday afternoon and it was a small one so let it go.  Didn't have to clean fish anyways.  Always a bright side.  Only a 4 day week.  Already looking forward to the weekend.

We had 0 here too, about a hour ago. Finally made it out for 3-4 hours yesterday but no Awfully nice out there, even peeled a layer before drillin a few holes. We'll give it another shot today as I would like to get at least 1 meal before it gets to be too slushy out there. Take it easy out there if you have to travel & are in the area where it's icy. Morning from Iceland!! What a friggin' mess down here!  Rained all nite; froze as it rained. Huge puddles froze all over. Everything is glazed in ice..trees, power lines, bushes, roads, sidewalks. Just a shiny, smooth glare. Most schools closed or at least running 2 hrs late. All day care closed.
Lotsa meeting and businesses closed. Thank god we didn't get wind too, or we'd have no power and a whale of a lot of trees down. My spruce branches are now laying on ground; normally 6' above ground. (pic)  The crab apple is totally encased in ice, that'll give those pesky tree rats something to work at...flash frozen crab apples. Hope it all melts soon...off to cawfee. Enjoy, guys!
