You mean employees of the union don't have collective bargaining rights, and a contract?  Ha Ha, that's great.

11 above here.  Going to be a great day but I have to work so will take some of the fun out of it.  Oh well.  The wife may have a fire in the pit today so I can get in on that after work.  Haven't seen the deer in our yard for a few days.  Hundreds of crows still sit in our trees in the evening yet.  I think they are dining on horse poop.   Hope they eat it all.  Speaking of eating we had homegrown pork steaks last night.  My possible favorite way now is to season, brown both sides in a cast iron pan and then cover and put in the oven for an hour at about 325.  I put onions on it half way through.  Turns out awesome every time.

AND that chili looks awesome on the home page.  We just got a cast iron kettle like that.  Now we need to use it.

Good morning all, 30 and sunny here. Already went to the dealer this morning and got the first oil change, tires rotated and fluids topped off on the car just waiting for the sun to hit the driveway to wash it, still a little chilly in the shade. Not much planned for today maybe a fire outside up the buddies house and after Reb posting a picture of that ice cold Rolling Rock yesterday got me thirsty for a couple so maybe a 12 pack of those is in the future for me. As we say here "Yinz" all have a good day.
if you kick me when I'm down you better pray I don't get up.

Well I was going to surprise Glenn and meet up at the game feed but was informed by the CP that we have our nephew's birthday party to go to.  I wasn't looking forward to eating what ever Glenn was cooking but I'm sure I could have choked it down with a beer.  Next time amigo. ;)

Good sunday mornin'! 38* and partly cloudy, chance of snizzle later today and rain tomorrow, but it's supposed to be in the mid 50's today. I'll take it. Got all the house cleaning and washing clothes done. All that stuff really stirs up my back and legs, the vacuuming and dusting and washing and mopping and polishing...gotta have that spotless house. Sometimes wish I wasn't so danged picky.... Always been a neat and clean type of person, but since the total remodel, I think I've gotten worse. Figger hey, it's all new in here, busted my butt doing it, so let's keep it that way.
Got a 2 lb ham thawed out for din-din, and gonna pair it with with some sweet taters and broccoli in cheese sauce, along with some buttered croissants. Taking a little break from grilling. Even had a plate of batter-fried fish the other nite. Could go for some more again....Soooo, enjoy yer day, guys.  :coffee:

30 here.  Sunny and a little breeze.  Bacon simmering..  Man I am looking forward to spring and open water.  The wife has me all excited about fixing up our pontoon boat for fishing.  I think at first I will just use plastic deck chairs until we see how it all works.  Then maybe some permanent chairs.  The boat has nothing on it now so just a matter of outfitting it with rod holders etc.  Will get the sun top redone too.  Nice to have some shade.  Of course will have to have some drink holders strategically placed as well.  Have some St Louis spares prepped for the smome later today.  Gonna be a great day....

With the warm weather today I think I'm going to try and get the crab apple trees trimmed up.  It's year three after taking zero care of them for 10 years.  After this time I should have them so it will just be a quick trim from here on out.  im right with you LPS bring on the global warming.  I think I'm going to start every engine I have today and let it run for a few hours.

Good time for those tree trimmings, G.  I whacked mine way back early last month. Now all I have is the filthy rotted mushy apple mess everywhere.  :mad1:
