No pie this time, only cake.   And the fresh fruit tart for the kids (and the young at heart).   

Might even be lamb to go with the turkey.   I am not privy to the rest of the menu.  Probably some champagne or other beverages.   

After seeing this picture from their deck... maybe we should have turkey/.

I wondered how many hummingbirds it takes to make a cake????    :rotflmao:  Had a good day on the final day yesterday.  Caught about 6 or 7 26ish fish and got our 4 keepers.  Let lots of little ones go.  Was a fun time.  Windy as all get out.  Had to use 2 18 lb anchors for a 16' boat.  The current and the wind combo was hard to beat...   Have to work today.  Darn.  Gonna grill something when I get home.  Maybe a steak on the new IR.

Morning gents. You need a waterspike there LPS. Those things hold nice. We have about 2 miles of open water out front this morning. All the ice is pushed to the east. Going to play mechanic today. Omelletes on the menu this morning. Have a good one.

Morning all. Turkey, Dell? Can ya set a place for me, please? I haven't had turkey in ages!!  :tongue: 
 Rained and T-boomed like a big cow last nite here in Swampville. 2 1/4" in my rain gauge. Sump pump is running this am. Sure roared down hard. Wedder morjits said about 1/10 to 1/4" rain predicted...well, they were only off by 2".  :angry: I need me cawfee...have a good day, guys... :coffee:

Thunderstorms are expected today and tonight. A few thunderstorms
this morning will be capable of producing small hail, gusty wind,
and locally heavy rainfall.

Locally heavy rainfall in excess of 2 inches is also possible again.
This is expected to result in additional rises on area rivers and
streams with some flooding possible. Some localized flash
flooding may also occur, especially for those areas that saw
significant rain Friday night.

Them same people said we would get 1-2 inches yesterday an another 1-2 today.100 miles west of the cities. We got 1/4 inch since Fri. morn and the sun came out.Now the sun is hiding and like they said sunny an rainless morrow.

Morning people's,  just did our 2 mike walk now getting ready to whip up some morning chow. Colored some eggs yesterday with the smoking tube then will turn them into deviled eggs.  Heading to the sis in-laws place this afternoon,  hopefully she has the wild game on, if not I'll be sitting outside enjoying mid 60s and sun!! Morning all, 45 & already windy here. WNW wind too, so it didn't feel 45 when I stuck my head outside a bit ago. Boat & canopy went on the lift yesterday :happy1:, so we're ready for Opener even though we won't be here. A few people around the lake getting together for dinner up at the community center on glenn's end of the lake today about 1. So get to see & visit with a few people we haven't seen in a while. Hope you have a great day & Happy Easter

Morning all.  We slept in the camper last night.  Had a few cocktails and listened to some great music.  Cranked up E.C. was Here.  My favorite Clapton CD.  Haven't listened to that for awhile.  It did rain some during the night but is hardly measurable in our old fashioned gauge.  Got a half ham that I will put on the pellet grill today.  Need to do some research as to how long to have it on and what temp.  I had a hard time finding one with a bone in it for soup later.  Still dark and dreary here but it is greening up.  Having walleye with eggs for breakfast.  My favorite.  Will check in later.  Have a great day to all of you...

Red Flag alert 57 high winds an low humidity.Think the Dnr has a NO Burn even with a permit!! I got 3 years of a pile of branches 2 piles and looks like I gotta wait till everything greens up.I asked for a varience permit for a 12ftX12ft X12ft pile I got refused last week! But I do have the regular permit!
