I like a mix of brandy, honey, and a little apple juice heated up for a cold or flu in the evening.  Helps me sleep better.  Get well LPS!!!  Still don't know where the "snow storm" is going to hit.  FIrst one had it going up north, then the center, and now you can take your choice of going through the cities or further south.  I'll just watch the radar maps and go with that.  Reb I feel for you with what you are going through.  My mom is in a nursing home for re-hab and my dad has been in the hospital for 17 days now with the flu and more.  My brother is more hands on as he lives in Duluth while I will be doing more traveling back and forth when I can.  My wife's mom has been living with us since 2007 and I have to be around here also since my wife still works full time [she is 92].  Have to make sure she get's her meds and make her meals for example.  So keep y our chin up Reb.  good luck.

Well, been packing for the trip west.   And look at the TV and where is the flu the worst in the country?  SD.   Guess I need to pack a mask and gloves and hold my breath for a long time.... :angry2:

Other than that we have escaped so far, knock on reb.   I mean wood... for luck.   

Never did like anything hot with alcohol.   Now cold that is different.

That's what I thought.  Going all of the way to South Dakota???  lol  Cool!!!  He said he doesn't like anything hot with alcohol.  So I take that to mean he likes chicks that are not hot with alcohol.  I guess we have all been there real late on a particular night...    :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

Good luck and fun del. Man i used to get sick pretty severe back in the day, I was the last one in the family to cave on the flu shot. It's been around 12 years or better since I've had the flu, just a cold tgat lasts for 3 days or so now... Think what you want on the shot but I'm a believer!

My wife makes sure I get the flu shot every year Bobber.  I know it doesn't cover all flu types and of course I got one that it didn't cover.  I will continue to get the shot too.

Last year I got a flu shot for the first time and soon after I got bronchitis and bad.  Had to go to the doctor and get meds.  But maybe the shot didn't cover that but at the time I got pizzed off that I got the shot.  Think I will get one again.  good luck.

I don't get 'em. Everytime my shift got them, we all got sick. That ended that. So far this year....nothing. THAT now guarantees I will get something.... :rolleyes:
Hope Delmonaco don't bring back a SoDak strain.......best to rinse with alcohol daily.  :azn:

the only reason I got it is when my wife was fighting her battle with cancer, we do what we have to help our loved ones................to the end....

sorry don't mean to be the downer, but it's just part of life I think...   I would do it again if it would help anyone I care for....

Mornin boys, 14 when I peeked. Finally made it down to the lake yday & was surprised to find the :snow2: almost up to my knees when I got a little ways off the bank. Might make gettin the sled and/or the wheeler down there a bit more trouble. Oh well, that's for another day as it won't be happenin today. I haven't checked in a while but the last radar I seen looked like the snow could be goin a little more north than what WCCO was sayin Friday. Guess we'll find out. Over to get our usual Sunday paper after bfast, then find somethin to do outside for a bit as the games don't start until 3 or so.  Not much else going on, have a good 1. SKOL!!!!!!

Mornin fellas,  since I washed the vehicles yesterday it's only fitting that it snows!!  Not much else going on, the wife has a recipe for a brisket in da crockpot so that's getting prepped now. Have a gooden guys!!

...Hazardous Travel Late This Evening Through Monday...

Travel will become exteremely hazardous late this evening through Monday
evening as a strong winter storm impacts the area. Precipitation
will initially fall as an icy wintry mix or snow, changing over
to all snow by mid morning on Monday. Snow accumulations of 6 to
locally 12 inches are expected, along with icing up to 2/10 of an
inch. No travel advised.

Man it is a balmy 23 here.  Cloudy but no snow.  Feeling better today but not sure how I will fare with the Vikes game today.  I am a screamer  lol  I have to try to tone it down for this game.  Will see how that goes.
