21 here at 6:30. More ice but it finished off with snow pellets last night so traction ain't bad. Hauling buckets across the slope this a.m. I was pleasantly surprised. Didn't stop them from dumping tons of salt on the road, again. Would've been fine without it. One more ewe came in yesterday although the lamb got chilled so it's in the house yet. Not getting the hang of it real fast. More to come.

  • "Seems like time is here and gone".....Doobie's
Mornin' all.  22* here and a real mess. Schools and lots of businesses closed for the day again. Had more rain and sleet last nite, and it froze solid when it hit into a thick layer of hard, pebby white ice. No plows/sanders been by my street yday or today, my street is undrivable as witnessed by the sideways cars up against the snowbanks at the end of it. The NL (sometimes I wonder if these wimmen have any brains at all) leaves her new truck sit outside all nite, and her kids new car, too....they're usually inside the two car garage. That one now wins Reb's weekly stoopid award. Here's yer sign.... I wanna see them scrape THAT ice off. Pics of it, looks just like light snow; that's solid ice. First pic is close-up of it on deck with a little pine cone for "sizing".  Sure hate to be a mailman today! I just salted all the steps for my mailman.  Have a good, safe one guys.   :coffee:

I notice she had to copy me wid her new chebby....put on the same step bars, mudflaps, and type of bed cover. That still ain't gonna make it a Mr. Sparkles.
She actually told me she wants her truck to look "sexy". That's verbatim. I WAS gonna suggest she just drive it nude, that might help.  But, it'll still be a chebby.  :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

Well gents, it started to :snow4: again before bfast & had closer to 6" by the time we got out there( a little before 9).  Came back in ~ 10:15 & it's still comin down. Must be workin on 7" by now, last forecast was talkin about 30 mph winds. That should make it fun on the roads, glad we're don't have to go anywhere.

Ayup, the morjits were out and about yday...

According to Minnesota State Patrol, between 12 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. Monday, 388 crashes and 244 spinouts were reported, including 7 jackknifed semis. A majority of those were in Southeast Minnesota.

Ayup...the NL definitely gets the "Here's yer sign" award for the week. I went out just about an hour ago and salted my steps for the mailman, noticed her truck was sitting in her driveway running.
Just went out to check my steps, and it's still running.....and the ice is melted off her windows. Defroster must be on high. For an hour.... :bonk:

Morning boys. -3 to start the day here. Looking like we are going to make the swing into the 20s for awhile. Thinking we may not see to many below zero temps anymore. It will make it easier on the wood pile. Other than that, just anudder  day in paradise. Have a good one.

Mornin guys, we had -10 when I looked. Hope the snow is done for us for a while. Good thing it was the light fluffy stuff & we didn't have a lot of wind. Was blowin around some yday afternoon but we didn't get close to the 30 mph that the TV said we might get, more like 10-15 mph. Time for a grocery run again today, so we'll see how the roads are. Not much else going on today, hope you enjoy your Wednesday.

3 above on the way into Bugtussle. A few lambs needing some bottle assistance due to the downturn in temperature. Those ewes will need to go down the road after this turn. Better things to do than to dink around feeding bottle lambs.

Still -4 here but what a beautiful day.  I feel great by the way.  lol  I have had the runs for 3 days.  Got up 9 times the other night.  Just couldn't keep anything in me.  Went to the Dr. yesterday and feel great today.  It ran it's course.  I just woke up at 8:30.  Feel refreshed and am having coffee and then a couple of Pop Tarts.  It doesn't get any better than that.    :happy1:  I do have the day off too.  That makes it even better.  Retirement training!

Having da runs is retirement training now? Hmm, maybe dat is to discourage us younglings from retiring. ;) :rotflmao: Glad you are feeling better Barry.

I was gonna mention that eating a bowl of my smoky bean soup, then having a braunschweiger sandwich and HB egg for lunch the next day, makes for some toe-curling smelly farts, but I won't.

I know we're all full of s**t here but I guess this proves it. After going that many times and being all cleaned out you should've called the doctor for your colonoscopy then that way you wouldn't have to drink that nasty stuff. On a serious note mom will be released today from the hospital after a two week stay and is going to a rehab center for 5 to 20 days just depending on her progress.
if you kick me when I'm down you better pray I don't get up.
