Morning kiddos. 9*  here. Thanks, Barry and Jb....got about 8-10"of the crap you blew down here.  I figger I got about 9" here, as it snowed right up  to about midnite. Wet, slushy stuff that is now rock-hard. The boobs that didn't blow or shovel are gonna have lots of fun today. My neighbor buddy came and blew me out and shoveled my deck for me while I hacked away at the steps. Lot of places closed today. Wind was really whipping it around later in the nite as it was a drier snow falling then. Have to shovel the walk and deck all over again later..... :doah:  Have a fun one, guys. It's cawfee time in the city of wonder.  Wonder why I live here.  :coffee:

Mornin gents, 10*(-5 WC) & about 5" on the ground. Most of our :snow4: came late afternoon & into the night, so it looks like we've got some shoveling to do this morning. KIMT ( Mason City) was reporting 8*,  which is a record low for this day for them. The plows just went by again as they hit it once yday afternoon ~ 3:30 so the streets should be OK. Got a few errands to run today, maybe. Not much else new here, hope you have a good Wednesday.

3 above for a low and 1 above at Waseca. 3 is our normal low for January 16th. Unreal. 8" of snow in Bugtussle & 10.6" at home for a storm total. Had thought last week about taking the chains off the tractor so I could push some brush up in a pile to burn. Glad I didn't. Brush is all full of snow so it wouldn't have burned anyway.

blew off the driveway yesterday afternoon and again around lunch time.   Nice fluffy snow...  The bad stuff must have been further north at rebs.

By late afternoon, drive was totally clear and dry.  Spring sun works wonders.

Made Autumn Chowder for supper.   No pics because it is just a pot of white stuff... :azn:

All I know is what the stuff in my driveway was like.  Who should I believe, them or my lying eyes?  It even drifted some overnight.

7 here, yes 7.  Had a skiff of snow last night so it looks like deep dark winter here.  7 is only good in craps.  That is my word of the day "craps".  The warm up keeps moving a day or two further back into April.  Well the weekend it getting closer.  Can't wait for the Masters.  We like watching it.  Especially this year with it being so cold out.  Nice to see the green grass and hear the fake birds chirping in the trees there.  They are fake you know.  Gets to be a little much at times.

Mornin guys, 18* now & headin for 44*, they're sayin. Only our small sidewalk from the front door to the street had much snow on it yday. The driveway & the sidewalk in front of the house were lucky if they had 2" on them. Most everything had melted on the walks & roads by mid afternoon, probably lose a bunch more today. See there's supposed to be another 1-3" in the works for Sunday. A few errands early today, then settle in to watch the Masters today too. Watson & Jack's grandson made the Par 3 tourney fun TV yday. Hope ya have a good  one.

I saw that shot by Jack's grandson.  Wasn't that cool?  Good for him.  Hey JB, a friend of mine drove out from Zippel with his pickup and dodged the drifts and just sat in his truck and caught his limit of saugers and walleyes between 8:30 and 1:00 out in 30 feet of water.

Ya know Reb, some just enjoy living vicariously. I have neighbors like that. They see me livin' the dream and are satisfied to just watch... ;)  :bonk: Yesterday a.m. a blower on the tractor would've worked well after the weather cooled off and the snow dried out. During the snowstorm? Not so much from people who tried it and with a lot more horsepower than my unit has.

It was 14 this a.m. at choretime. Better than the 3 we had yesterday. The worst part was that it still made skim ice on the lambing barn buckets before I could haul them. No snow to move this a.m. If it snows again on Sunday think I'm going to have the snow moved vicariously.  :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

Ayup. We even exceeded their gloom and doom totals in some areas. Must be fake news.   ;)

Heavy, wet snow and raw winds put damper on Tuesday morning

Posted: Apr 03, 2018 7:16 AM CDT

(KTTC) -
A potent winter storm is putting a damper on our early spring day today as heavy, wet snow and raw winds are making it look and feel more like early March than early April. Expect periods of moderate to heavy snowfall through the day with four to six inches of accumulation possible by sunset and an additional couple of inches may accumulate in the evening.

del follows his grand leader and calls any news with a semblance of reality fake news.   :rotflmao: :rotflmao: I predict the one on Sunday thru Monday will be wet and heavy... 6 inches plus for most of us in Waseca County.
